Animal Aide of St. Thomas-Elgin

I adopted a bonded pair from this shelter and the experience was fantastic! The staff were so accommodating, helpful and kind helping me find the right cats. The staff were able to walk me through the adoption process so easily and efficiently! I could not have been more pleased with my adoption experience with this shelter.

Meet Reggie. He was born in the care of Animal Aide St.Thomas Elgin. He is now the most wonderful addition to our family. He and his litter mates were cared for so wonderfully and he came to us socialized and confident. The adoption process was thorough yet easy. I would 100% recommend adopting from this big hearted organization.

Absolute life savers! I found a stray kitten one day before having to leave town for a week, and Animal Aide was so nice and understanding, and thankfully able to take her in.I also adopted from Animal Aide last year, and had a great experience - when the kitty had some health issues only a few days after adoption, Animal Aide handled vet treatments until she was able to come back home safe and sound.It's so clear that these guys care about rescuing, and do all they can for the animals in their care

I have adopted a few cats over the years from Animal Aide and their volunteers are very caring. Animal Aide also paid for a veterinary visit after the adoption because one of my kittens had got an upper respiratory infection a few days later. Ashley the operations manager is very dedicated to all the cats and kittens taken in.

When it comes to animal shelters, Animal Aide St. Thomas-Elgin is one of the best. I've not only adopted two kittens from them but have volunteered both at the shelter and as a foster. During the pandemic, I was unable to work, and being able to volunteer at the shelter and eventually becoming a foster, gave me a purpose and an opportunity to give back to my community. Most people don't realize the amount of work that goes into running such a well kept and responsible shelter. The cats are very well taken care of and at the first sign of illness, are taken to the vet. The volunteers are fabulous and Ashley, the Operations Manager, is one of the most dedicated people I know. She goes above and beyond her responsibilities to ensure that the cats and kittens are taken care of, she organizes many events to help raise funds, and supports the volunteers and adoptive families.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this organization. More specifically about the operations manager, Ashley. The absolute best woman I know, really goes above and beyond for all the cats. She always does her absolute best to help everyone that goes to her for assistance. As a volunteer of Animal Aide and some one who has adopted from there I recommend Animal Aide to anyone searching for a new feline friend.

Animal Aide is an outstanding organization. The environment is well kept and always clean. The cats and kittens are provided with the best care available. They offer amazing opportunities for youth involvement such as volunteering. I highly recommend Animal Aide if you are ever looking for a feline companion.

Shannon and Ashley were supper helpful and willing to accommodate a cat and kittens living outside of our home. Very attentive and so willing to help despite the abundance of cats already existing at the shelter. I would definitely reach out to them for assistance with stray or abandoned cats.Thank you, so much for your time and understanding. Truly appreciated.

Two years ago yesterday I adopted my furbaby from animal aid through pet smart ❤️ we love her so much and very grateful for animal aid for finding her so she could be a very cherished member of our family. We do plan on getting her a sibling later in life and want to go back to pet smart. I HIGHLY recommend animal aid and pet smart in st.thomas ❤️
