classic hk bbq spot! cash only! amazing soups and rice plates! bbq their meats to perfection! cash only! their duck is a bit dry but the soy chicken and pork are always super juicy and well seasoned. going earlier in the day/before closing is always a good idea. love that the interior is completely untouched from the 80s, lots of baby pink! great option for takeout/takeaway plus the service is super SUPER quick

Amazing value! Surprised to see a BBQ duck plate + soup for under $10.. If you're going there with a group of 3 or 4, best to add a side dish since there's not too many veggies included

Have returned. Highly recommended. For the 5 years I've been in Toronto, this place has completed satisfied my cravings for BBQ Pork and Roast Pork etc. Cash and Debit. A legit family run establishment with fair prices and predictable quality.BBQ Pork - consistently juicy, sweet and sticky. Ask for slightly fattier parts. Lean parts are too lean. IYKYK.Roast Pork - consistently crisp and crunchy skin, always juicy. Don't microwave to reheat - use a toaster oven for that perfect crunch.Roast Duck - herbal and gamey. Their Goose is also super fatty and delicious when they have it in season.I haven't tried their hot dishes - always gotten takeaway. Cash and Debit. Please give @trebzheng a follow for more :O

Honestly for the price and taste, it's such a good deal for yummy old school BBQ place. It's menu is smaller, and thats actually a great thing. Less menu items, more focus on good food. I'd stick with the BBQ meats on the window with noodles and rice and you can't go wrong.

My favorite restaurant in China town. Always very clean, very joyful and quite delicious. I love how they bring soup and hot green tea with your meal. 10/10, thank you Hong Fat BBQ team!

Came here starving and the food did not disappoint! I ordered the pork with wonton noodle and some of my friends ordered the rice. Everyone gets a soup on the side with their orders, and served with hot tea. Really great price for the value! The portion is huge, I’d recommend splitting them with another person. The meat is seasoned really well, and I’d recommend asking for the ginger scallion oil and chilli oil as it levels up the whole dish. Their service is also excellent, quick, and attentive! Will definitely come back in tehe future :)

My review is solely based on ordering House Special BBQ Duck. At $27 for half a duck, it's a bit on the pricey side, but I've noticed that BBQ duck has gone up in price everywhere, from Chinatown to Markham. The duck came out juicy and tasty. The marinate was not overpowering and the duck was not dry. The flavour was just right. I even had leftovers which I took home to finish later that evening. The service was good. I'm used to impatient waitresses who practically bark at you at Chinese restaurants but the waitress taking care of us was a middle-aged lady with good manners and a friendly demeanour. I made sure to leave a good tip for her service.I would not bring my date to this restaurant, just so we're clear. It's a no-frills Chinese restaurant that had a renovation probably more than 20 years ago. The toilets downstairs are disgusting and dirty but that's not why I came here, so whatever. It's great for take-out or a quick bite when on the go.BOTTOM LINE: I am definitely coming back for BBQ duck in the future. It was well worth every dollar. I'd probably get noodles as well next time to try.

Nothing mind-blowing but I certainly appreciate their large portions and quality BBQ meats. It's a very simple, no-frills place but you definitely get a filling, tasty meal at great value. There was only one server taking care of dine-in customers when we went for a Saturday lunch so it was a bit difficult to get her attention, but she was very nice and provided excellent service otherwise.Cash and debit only.

Wow a very nice friendly Chinese BBQ restaurant, the surprises, a chicken soup (on the house) and Chinese tea. The stars of their menu are the BBQ meats, those BBQ pork & Roast pork were outstanding, tasty juicy. Loads of great value dishes. Very popular with many Toronto students and locals.

Stumbled upon this small shop in the midst of winter to have some chinese food and to seek shelter from the cold! Glad we did that because we ended up coming back every time we visited Toronto. One of the best siew yuk ever!! You get a pot of tea and a bowl of soup as well if you dine in! Would highly recommend this place :)
