Concord Baby Furniture

Slightly torn on my review, however going with 1* as the product the store carries has the most unpleasant odour. It just screams cheaply made. We actually have not been able to unpack the baby’s clothes and get organized !!!We purchased a dresser and a nightstand and I am now on day 3 of trying to ventilate these drawers. I am quite concerned about the emissions coming from this unit as it’s quite potent.I called the store and the man said that it’s normal and that you have to air it out for a “couple of weeks”.Forget putting baby clothes into this without them smelling like glue. I am quite concerned with having the baby in the same room as well. Not sure if it’s the glue, or wood moisture - god knows.The price was good and the unit looks very nice - I’d buy it again if it didn’t have such a strong potent smell.Customer service wasn’t amazing.Update: it’s now 2 month later. All the baby clothes are in Ziplock bags. The drawers still have a faint smell. I’ve treated them 2 times with vinegar, 2 times with rice to abort any smell/moisture, and baking soda!

This place clearly doesn’t care about customer service. They don’t respect the hours they post, often late to open and only open 4 days a week (Tues-Sat) from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Unfortunate to see owners only caring about themselves by making it difficult for working people to buy their product. Oh and the icing on the cake, send them an email asking a question about their product(s) and wait 3-4 days for them to be so kind to reply back to you; another example of poor ethics.

Purchased the white Parker crib a couple of years ago for our first born who used it for 2.5 years, and now our newborn is using it. When adjusting height settings, the screw broke in half and we couldn’t track down the right size screw anywhere.. after calling Concord and explaining the situation they mailed us a brand new screw for free (within 24 hours!) Very very happy with the product and customer service.

Great prices, helpful staff. Come here AFTER looking up furniture on Costco.ca or visiting buy buy baby or babies r us, and you'll see how much better of a deal this place is for cribs, dressers and mattresses. It's no frills, with a very simple showroom, but the furniture is the same quality/style you'll find at big box stores at a fraction of the price.

I purchased a Tommy Crib and 7-drawer dresser from Concord Baby to be delivered today. When the delivery came, the guys made several dents in the crib (see picture) while assembling. I heard them talking about it, so I confronted them. They didn't admit to it and said that if I find any chipped paint I can simply paint over it....I guess that's what I paid $900 for. Then I found another. I thought they were small, so I let them go. After closer inspection, I discovered there were more dents, chips (on dresser too) and the paint was coming off. When my wife called being upset, the owner [Steve] said he would refund the money; however, we would need to bring the furniture back into the warehouse. So we lost $120 (with assembly and delivery) to get damaged furniture delivered and $70 to get the things removed out of our house because Concord Baby refused to take ownership of the problem. I was also told by the delivery guy to go f*** myself". It's not my fault they delivered furniture that were dented and with paint coming off. It's a health concern for my kid and I would not risk putting him in any danger. The owner had no empathy and refused to take some of the blame and wanted me to pay for pick up. We wouldn't have been in the situation if things were done correctly."

We bought furniture here for my daughters nursery a few years ago. We were missing a part for a crib conversion and called them recently. Even though we bought it a few years ago they sent the part right away in the mail. Adam has always provided excellent service. I also remember the prices being very good at the time we purchased.

I had purchased a bed room set a few weeks ago & picked up my own furniture. Night stand was great & drawers fully varnished. The dresser on the other hand was not. The inside of all 7 drawers had saw dust all over them & not properly sanded down and not varnished. Wood pieces were chipping off the edges as well. Called them to complain & got the worse service. They tried to tell me that the way the furniture comes & I got lucky that the night stand was varnished!!! Hello!!! It's an unfinished product & their trying to tell me that's the way it is & then to top it off they wanted to charge me to get it varnished!!! Meanwhile that's how it should have come in the first place!!! BUYERS BEWARE!! Always check your products!! Also warning sticker on the crib does not come off easily...leaves stains in the wood!!! Not happy at all with this company!!!

Concord Baby went above and beyond for me. After I contacted them to let them know the great difficulty I was having ordering a conversion kit, they contacted me and dealt with it immediately. They worked right with Walmart, which is where I ordered from, to get me my item.After a month of waiting with no information on why my order was delayed, I am finally feeling confident I will receive my item shortly!

Needed a crib part replaced on an older and very well-loved 2nd hand crib. Staff was friendly and replaced the part quickly and for a very reasonable price. Will definitely shop here again

Service was awful. Kijji add said Richmond Hill location. They are a baby furniture warehouse located in Concord. Took a chance and drove. Sat for 5 minutes waiting for assistance, wandered into the back to find someone.Gentleman was polite and tried to help us out. Second person took over the sale and completely changed the sale. Removed mattress from sale price and was very rude and blunt about it. When comment was made pointing out the location discrepancy, salesperson said it didn't make any difference. We drove 11/2 hours to arrive to this place, in the end we walked out with the purchase. Wouldn't deal with them again.
