Admin and Accounting Works program provides one-stop employment service from employability to job search skills, from occupational training to job placement. I’ve gained not only the skills and work experience, but also the confidence. The staff and instructors are excellent!

I had joined the Administration and Accounting Works program (55+) from Sources Community Resources Society for free. It was a very good program which include bookkeeping, Quickbook, Work, Excel, communication skills training and job search information. There was a three weeks practicum at the end of the program. I am appreciate to those facilitator gave me most updated and useful knowledge and information.

Wow! I never thaught a course could change my life!! When I signed up I just wanted to do a resume!!I learned so much about myself, I gained so much confidence!! I'm also EMPLOYED!! I haven't had a job in over 15 years!!My partner died in July and he was the bread winner!, my love and partner ( I thaugt for life) I was lost!! I now had to support myself!!I loved the teachers!! So knowledgeable, kind and supportive!!And to top it off I got a brand new laptop!!! I'm also getting 2 $100.00 gift cards for graduating and getting a job!!I RECOMMEND THIS COURSE TO ANYONE WHI WANTS TO START TO CHANGE THEIR LIFE!! I LOVED IT!!8

when I stared this class I was having a hard time with myself and with trying to find a job as my resume was old and I had not worked in years. this class helped me with learning new ways to cope with my past and the trauma ive had in my life now I have a good counsellor and learning new things everyday about myself I also have positive self confidence i enjoyed the people I got to work with there I loved it and I would and I have referred others to this class

I was referred to SOURCES BC Empowered For Employment by the facilitator of a job search program I was doing, for people over 55 looking for work. I had quit my job at a big box store, after working in retail for more than 16 years, and I wanted to get back into office work but my skills weren't up-to-date. I was accepted into the Admin/Accounting Works program at SOURCES BC, which lasts for 11 weeks. It is a comprehensive course, covering effective communication techniques, self-esteem building exercises, navigating the internet for a job search, correspondence etiquette, and proper resume writing, among other topics. Exceptionally useful was the 4 week portion of the course offered through Vancouver Community College, which taught Microsoft Word and Excel, QuickBooks and an introduction to basic bookkeeping. There was 1 week working with a job developer, followed by a 3 week practicum. I really enjoyed the course, and it was lovely getting to know my classmates, who came from all walks of life and had so much to contribute. I believe I have made new friends! Each and every one of the SOURCES and VCC staff I dealt with was encouraging, understanding and supportive. I now feel confident that, with my new skills I will be able to find suitable, lucrative and meaningful employment in an office environment. I highly recommend SOURCES BC!

The Sources Skills for Work program is a Very good program, flexible and the facilitators are great. They have self care workshops which everybody takes as part of the program. They are very informative, useful to use and apply to everyday life. The job search and training workshops are great as well. Everything is over Zoom and the program takes place Monday-Thursday from 9:30-12:30.I would highly recommend this program as it is a small group of people that are non-judgmental and everyone is very supportive of everyone’s abilities.

I attended this resources two year ago while on unemployment, and had a great time with the staff and my classmates. Every day we where greeted with a big smile from Jagjit , along with all the other staff. You could tell they loved their job. What I got out of this course was the courage to learn more about what I needed to go further with my career choice of becoming a bookkeeper. After taking the course Admin and Accounting Works (55+) I continue my education at home and earned my advance certificates. Today I have started my own bookkeeping business and want to thank everyone at the Source for helping me reaching my goals. The staff were there for me in so many ways, personally and professional. I encourage any one in their later years to attend, you never know how far you can go with the knowledge they give you here.

I have just completed the Employment program last week. I learned a lot in the three months about myself but also computer skills angry management and Communcation skills which I will benefit from when finding a job The counsellors are Terrific and I would recommend it

I have successfully completed 11 weeks online program arranged by SOURCES. It's a great experience for me to join the program. SOURCES provided great support to me during these 11 weeks. By the time starting the program, I was doubt I could complete this.With their encouragement and full support, I made it and with surprised result which proofed my capability.Thank you so much SOURCES.
