No time management what so ever!! I called and said i've break issue. He asked to drop the car. I had dropped it in morning around 10am. He just sat on that till 5pm. Then when i went there to pick up, he said he didn't even checked what is the problem. Then he said next day he is is busy too and can't fix my brakes. Why would you take my keys for if you don't have any time!! now i'll have to drive long way back because all other garages are closed and my brake is still not fixed. Horrible work practice.

John @ R&S in my opinion is the best Mechanic in Aurora/Newmarket. He has been great to work being both honest and personable. His prices are very reasonable, and quality of work is high.

I am very pleased with the work that John did on my Mazda CX-5. As a Realtor I need to be on the road daily and with my clients at the drop of a hat. After a lower ball joint failed and did some damage to the drivetrain of my car John fixed it up quickly and for a very reasonable price. I have no doubt that had I taken it to a big brand shop I would have paid far more for the repairs. He easily could have charged me an unreasonable amount as my car had been towed to the shop after close and wasn't moveable without a tow truck. John was great with communication, he did the job quickly, and the final bill was within the quoted amount with a little bit of breathing room left over. I enthusiastically recommend R & S Auto Repairs for anyone needing service.

Finally taking the time to write a review as I’ve moved to Toronto, one of the busiest cities and I haven’t been able to find a mechanic as great as John. I met him when I still lived at home and want to say he’s one of the kindest, honest and most patient person I have ever met with exceptional car practices and knowledge. Never had any issues, and if I’m ever in the Aurora area I know where to go. Thanks so much for your amazing work over the last 5+ years!

Fixing vehicles is always and will continue to be a very challenging business. John knows more about our vehicles that we do. If you are looking for someone to build a respectful trusting relationship with to manage how your vehicles, R&S is a good place start. Car parts are often hard to come by. Some things take time. I really like John, he is honest and straight forward. I read some reviews online about 6 months ago when I was looking for a trustworthy mechanic. I decided to try him. I was not deceived, he fixed my vehicle, for a very fair price, let me bring in my own parts if I want to. My 2002 Nissan Maxima was starting to cost me much money, and John, after checking it over, and not charging me for it, said that it would not be worth me putting more money into this car. I am a woman, and people at, lets say, another garage, would just say o yes you have this and that and this and that to fix. Well, not John, he told me it was time for another car. So I listened, and here I am now with a 2005 Honda Civic. I will bring it to him to check it and do anything about maintenance and repairs. I strongly recommend if you are looking for a fair mechanic in Aurora. He has his own little shop, and works by himself, so he is quite busy, but will help a customer in whatever ways he can. You need an advice on your car even if it does not pay for him? He will give you great advice!

TLDR; no problems or headaches. Great place.Brought my Infiniti in for brakes, power steering, an oil change and hood latch repair. John was very easy going, very clear about what he could do and he also specified his available timeline for this work. After he completed most of the work, I got a call where he let me know that, although he could do the brake work easily, it wasn’t necessary as they were still in decent condition. It’s been a couple of weeks since the car work has been completed and I’m having no problems whatsoever.The reliability, honesty and to-the-point environment at R&S is why I’m going to come here again for future work.

My experience with John at R&S Auto was pretty much terrible start to finish. First off he's extremely dry and makes it seem like he doesn't want to be there, very unwelcoming and not very helpful. Secondly, he never answers the phone and I had to call him about 4 times over a 2-hour period before he finally picked up, sounding agitated that someone was god forbid calling to check up on their car.Third and most importantly, I have a car show/track day scheduled for tomorrow and I needed part of my exhaust system installed on my car TODAY. I understand that some mechanics are not willing to remove a catalytic converter, and so I made it very clear what I wanted done on my car in advance to ensure that John was willing to do it. He said that it would be no problem, until 5 o'clock rolls around and every other mechanic shop is now closing, he decides to let me know that he finally got around to looking at my car and was not willing to do the work for me.I lost about $20 in cab fares and now I will not be ready for my show tomorrow, I advise anyone that is interested in timeliness and good customer service to go elsewhere. Would've been extremely nice if he took a look at my car closer to when I dropped it off at 9AM instead of waiting until the VERY last minute to let me know he was not going to be helping me.*SIDE NOTEI'm 95% sure that he dinged my passenger side door by opening another car's door that was parked fairly close to me. I'm extremely meticulous when it comes to my car and just happened to see this as soon as I got home.
