L’École publique Jeanne-Sauvé

Cute French Public elementary school in great location ruined by troubled demographic and incompetent administration. Due to its convenient but ultimately damning proximity to the downtown core, it is unfortunately frequented mostly by children of lower socio-economic families, many with behavioral and learning problems. Coupled with a predominantly inexperienced staff as a result of high turnover, the interminable issues of violent behavior simply snow-ball in response to the complete lack of discipline and consequence. After over two years of endless occurrences of violent behavior towards my daughter and a total lack of accountability from staff of all levels, we simply had to give up and change not only schools, but school board entirely. I have never in my life had to tolerate such disgusting behavior towards my child from the other kids, and myself from the teachers and principal. They can keep turning a blind eye to unacceptable behavior and continue to lose their top students as a result, but we urge anyone considering sending their child there to seriously reconsider the factors and avoid this school at all costs.
