I very calmly and in a friendly manner explained why I considered their rat trap product to be less effective than other models and thus inhumane, then someone I can only presume was a manager stepped in and was extremely rude. I criticized a product, not the store or it's employees. I was friendly and calm and did not deserve to be treated in that manner. I will NEVER shop there again.

This store does NOT stand behind the merchandise they sell. I purchased a freezer and the top did not meet the bottom creating air leakage inducing additional frost accumulation inside. I explained that it was a manufacturers defect and they claimed it was a warranty issue for which the manufacturer stated it was neither. They have NO interest in protecting their client.My advice is: Do Not support this store. Imagine bringing back (6) keys they incorrectly cut & refused to recut them properly. I brought the keys to Home Hardware and explained what happened at Island Home + Garden. They recut the keys & refused to charge me. This site does not allow opinions without stars ergo, I was forced to give it one - I wanted to give it ZERO or minus 10. I will never understand why anyone would give this store a rating higher than 1.

Great selection, helpful staff, full but clean and tidy store. Make a request and you could be surprised at what variety they carry. Thanks Robin and Nick.

It has a wide range of items in a small place. Staff know where things are which can be very helpful. Good quality paint.

This place was amazing! I can't recommend them highly enough. The owner, Nick, a retired aeoronautics engineer, helped me to find a battery for my CPAP machine and charged it for free. They saved my camping experience!!
