I have a rescue and after taking him to a few groomers and witnessing them grab his leash and putting him in a kennel, I was losing hope in finding him a place until Barker Barber. My pup is a Cavapoodle so he needs to be groomed every other month. It’ was nice to see they let dogs roam around freely while waiting for their turn versus being locked up, which I believe helps with anxiety. Been taking my pup since March 2022 and happy every time with the service.

I brought my one year old goldendoodle here on advice of a neighbour. My boy is used to being groomed but his regular groomer is a car ride away and he gets carsick so I wanted to try someone closer to home. I was not impressed. I was in a hurry when I picked up my boy (because of an upcoming zoom call) so I couldn't look closely until I got home, but what struck me immediately was that my boy growled at the groomer. I've never heard my dog growl at a human before and he growled each time the groomer approached. I think that is very good indication that something went badly. When I got home I realized that they hadn't even brushed out my boys tail or shaved in the sanitary area and I'd paid $130 plus tax for a full groom. We won't be going back.

Great and fast nail trim service. My dogs were treated kindly and they accommodated my dog who had recently had surgery to ensure her care. Will definitely be going back.

I've brought my dog in for a few grooming sessions but with the last two grooming sessions, right after each session he's had ear infections and groin area irritation enough to warrant vet visits. The first time, after it happened I called to let them know and they seemed a bit unsure whether the irritation could have been caused by them - I felt a bit dismissed to be honest. I couldn't chalk it up to coincidence the second time and called them, and again it felt like there really wasn't much in the way of dialogue. So I decided to walk in and chat with the owner, bringing my dog in with me after I had just visited the vet. The owner seemed taken aback when I had mentioned this was the second time this had happened after a visit to their salon. After I said it seems like it could be razer burn, he mentioned that he couldn't speak to that - but also didn't ask to look and inspect my dog. When I mentioned my dog also now had an ear infection, he proceeded to tell me in the most 'man-splain' way, that dogs can get infections when their ears get wet. Contextually, my dog NEVER gets ear infections, he swims and gets bathed by me all the time - the only times he's had infections is after visiting Barker Barber. I again felt dismissed and unheard - I didn't go in there guns blazing, or confrontational, I didn't want anything except a dialogue and an acknowledgement that maybe they could see if their equipment needed a look-at or to revisit any grooming processes. Nothing. I feel like a jerk, because I've told people that overall they're a great barber - they've done a good job on nail trims and I like supporting small businesses. But I'm out 900$ for two vet visits and two grooming sessions. The least Barker Barber could have done was have a look at my dog.

Drop in service excellent. Didn’t have to wait long and I got basic nail trim/ear cleaning for a reasonable price. Parking is easy around. A bit difficult to spot as A&W next door draws eye with bright orange.

Good experience. My big pup was groomed beautifully. More importantly, he was happy and stress free when I picked him up. Danielle, our groomer, did a great job. The team made me feel comfortable leaving my dog with them. I already booked for his next appointment.

Great service, friendly staff, listened to how we wanted our dog groomed. Very impressed! Love how they only allow 2 or 3 dogs to be groomed in their shop @ a time.

Amazing service and they were great at squeezing in my dog prior to surgery. My terriers look amazing after grooming and clearly everyone that works there loves doggies.

One of the best groomers around, I've been using them regularly for about a year, my dog goes every 6 weeks. I will say there have been a couple times that he has been cut unevenly with lots of missed areas, but usually he looks great. Highly recommended
