I have never had a great experience with my pregnancy ultrasounds with Avantia, but my most recent one has confirmed that I will not be returning. Technicians are never very friendly or chatty. At any other clinic or hospital the tech are cheery and excited about the ultrasound. Techs at Avantia are very clearly there to do their job and go home.We asked our tech to keep our baby gender a secret, we weren’t 100% sure how or if we wanted to know. She let it slip multiple times during the appointment and when I went to the washroom, once again she let it slip to my husband. I was also able to tell on the screen the gender. From my understanding they are supposed to look at that with the screen off or tell you to look away.It completely ruined our excitement, since our first pregnancy was through Covid and not the most enjoyable experience.Extremely disappointed with the services provided.

Place was spotlessly clean and receptionists were pleasant and helpful. X Ray technician was lovely and made my 2 year old very comfortable; not easy to do with a sick toddler getting a chest x ray. Would have been a much worse experience without her kindness.

I wouldn’t advise anyone to go here for a pregnancy related ultrasound. You are not allowed to watch the screen, can’t hear the heart beat, and can’t be told any information what so ever. If you choose to go be prepared to lie there in silence for the entirety of your ultrasound. I left my first dating u/s in tears yesterday. After waiting a week anxiously for this appointment to begin with, there was no communication what so ever. I was not even allowed to be told how far along I am. Absolutely nothing all I got from the technician was the same answer twice “your doctor will go over all the details” and that was it ! I said can I have a picture at least ? She said yes ask the front receptionist and she will email them to you. I thought ok that’s one good thing! Nope ! I get to the front and they are trying to charge people 11$ to have 2 pictures EMAILED TO ME ! Not even a physical copy. I think that’s absolutely disgusting. Also if I wanted to know how far along I was I could pay another fee to get my report emailed to me. They are trying to make a profit off of pregnant women and I think that’s horrible. I’ll never go back here. I have two children the most recent one being just 3 years ago and I never had to pay for a photo from my dating ultrasound before . I’ve also never ever not been told how far along I am !? I find it very bizarre and I am so disappointed yet again in avantia imaging for pregnancy specifically!! Side note: I came here before once 3 years ago when I was pregnant and I had a horrific experience as well (the location was in old stittsville at that time) but the technician pushed on my belly so hard and was so rough I had bruising and was in pain for DAYS afterwards. It was very scary and upsetting. I have never had a good experience here during pregnancy it’s just so close to my home…but I will go the extra distance from now on and go to cleopatra womens ultrasound clinic they have never let me down.To respond to what avantia has said : I have two children already and I have never not been told how far along I am. Must be new or just heavily inforced at your office because I’ve never experienced this before personally. This is the first time. Also cleopatra site charges 5$ for a cute printed photo in a cardboard frame … just to compare. And to charge for the medical report just makes absolutely no sense to me. You can’t share the information you say ….unless you pay… lol… You are only willing to let people know about THEIR OWN health information if they pay you money… gross… So yes I will definitely not be using this facility anymore. Sure you may be fine for a quick X-ray or something but not for pregnancy

The clinic was very clean and the staff were nice. The imaging technician was amazing; she was extremely knowledgeable and gentle.

Praise is deserving for Olivia at Avantia Clinic! I had an ultrsound done at this clinic and Olivia was wonderful. She was very professional, but kind and caring. We drove an hour to this clinic and the service from the receptionist to Olivia was excellent! Thank you!

I had an appointment for Monday at 11:45am. They called and left a message for me Friday afternoon prior advising that they had to change the appt to Monday at 4pm . I was out of town and received the message Sunday. I called back Monday confirming I could make it but my car was in for service. I showed up 10 minutes late.They told me I’d have to wait because I was late.I was never slotted in next. They kept pointing at me being late and that was justification enough for delaying me indefinitely with no time given when I would get my ultra sound. I finally left after waiting an hour and a half. No ultra sound.Horrible customer service. Beyond crazy and they messed up another appt of a lady while I was there. Brutal. There are alternatives.

Have come here a few times (for myself, my wife and kids). Sometimes the service is great with great staff, sometimes not so. Despite of that we still like this place for their efficient waiting time as well as well-maintained premises (waiting room and imaging rooms).

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A PREGNANCY ULTRASOUND.The technician is inattentive, disinterested, and rude. She did not communicate any information to us. Furthermore, she opened the door multiple times while my wife was changing; potentially exposing her to the view of the public. Ridiculous.

I went on a Saturday for an xray around 3pm and was seen in less than 15 min, which was amazing. I had to book my ultrasound with them for another day because they don't do walk-ins for that service, so I did that while I waited. They accommodated my schedule and booked me in the next 3 days which was great. Tory did my foot xray and it was quick and simple. She was also just an amazing person overall. Highly recommend this place even though its almost a 40 min drive from my home.
