Sobeys Bridgewater

Very well organized products.Clean and Friendly service.

I stopped by the Sobeys Bridgewater location this past Friday night to grab some quick groceries. I have never had such a pleasant experience at a check out than I did here! The cashier Kandice was so friendly and overly helpful, best customer service I’ve ever had!

I used to find I never shipped at Sobeys as I found them far more expensive. I do find myself now shopping for some deals on items. They also carry items other stores just don't bring in. I can always find a marked down item to try. I tried beyond meat sausages that I never would have purchased at full price and really enjoyed them. While the prices can still be higher, I often shop for deals and am no longer feeling shocked at the final tally. Also there's some really good Sobeys brand items that I rather enjoy.

What a friendly staff! And they have everything... it's well organised and easy to navigate. Posters everywhere so you know where to look. Interesting promotions and generally reasonable prices.

Almost everything you need food related can be found here. Parking is normally close and easy.

So expensive compared to other grocerie stores

I was once a die-hard Sobey's customer who would not shop elsewhere.However, their prices have become less competitive and customer service is not what it once was. Also, their recent announcement of economic growth/profits during the Covid pandemic when many are struggling to survive has definitely left me wondering about their social consciousness...

I went to Sobeys to buy a stick of bologna that is on sale for 11.99. The bologna was exactly where I expected it to be in the store. The store was clean and bright. I went to the checkouts. There were only 3 of them open and 3 or 4 people lined up with carts for each one. I wish that there were self checkouts to use as the people with only a couple of items could get out quickly. One of the employees there saw that I was just standing in the back gripping my bologna. She came over and told me that she would take me at the customer service counter. I appreciate that type of customer service. I happily went and paid for my bologna. The only annoying part is that their terminal was slow and timed out on paypass and had to insert and put in my pin.I would have rated Sobeys higher than 4 stars but their prices are higher on most things than anywhere else in town. Good experience though. Also I had fried bologna for supper. It was delicious even though I have a bad habit of cutting my slices too thick. My sandwiches look ridiculous and my fried bologna takes s while to cook. Oh yes, I almost forgot. I enjoy ketchup on my fried bologna. I forgot to check the price in Sobeys. I imagine it's a lot so I'll get my ketchup elsewhere
