Very relatable and easy to understand sermons. Welcoming people, and many events to attend.

Tenth Church
I can only describe Tenth as a larger church with a small church feel. There is such warmth, joy and genuine care for others not only from the pastors and support staff, but throughout the congregation. From my first visit, I felt welcomed and part of a Spirit filled community. Tenth truly feels like an extended family and there is a real sense of belonging. There is a wonderful tapestry of ethnicity and age but they have one common thread; simply to love the Lord and others. The “Connections” dinner was a nice opportunity for me to hear about their doctrine as well as their involvement in the local community and missions abroad. I highly recommend it if you are thinking of Tenth as your home church or if you wish to be involved in one of their many ministries. The Sunday services are simply wonderful. The sermon, worship music, and people bring serenity to my hectic week and a new perspective about life.If you are visiting Tenth for the first time, feel free to let someone know. I'm sure you'll be greeted with warm hearts and open arms.

Unfortunately, Tenth Church is another casualty of the avant-gardist, egalitarian, slightly woke cultural approach to the pulpit more concerned with the tithes and impressions of pew-surfers than providing substantive, expository preaching and unified fellowship to real believers. The leadership is visibly neutered -1 Tim 2:12, which is always a precursor to men of the word leaving the assembly. Essentially what remains is a social gathering with daycare services, polite chit-chat and less and less of the Spirit's efficacy in convicting the world of sin. This is usually achieved by contrasting a holy people living out holy lives as a direct result of God's full counsel.

What has attracted me to attend Tenth Church is that is allows for different ways to experience God. My personal spiritual life is fairly unstructured and I have difficulty adhering to a rule oriented structured church service unless discourse and dialogue is possible. Tenth Church allows for variety. They really value the arts and culture in our city as well as being involved in local social justice issues. Going to church is also a big part of our family life experience. We have found a creative christian community at Tenth where each family member can feel connected.Marian, designer and mom of 3

Tenth church is a place where the atmosphere is quite unusual for a religious institution. The loud music that sounds like a rock concert with an electric guitar and a band with their loud drums at the beginning of the service might be a bit overwhelming for some people. I had to wear earplugs to prevent hearing damage. It could be a turnoff for those who are looking for a more traditional and peaceful environment to worship.Tenth church is more of a place where people go to socialize rather than taking religion seriously. If you're looking for a community of individuals who are genuinely interested in deepening their faith and spirituality, this church may not be the right fit for you.Furthermore, it is concerning that I have observed some attendees of the Tenth church acting like hypocrites with unchristian attitudes outside of the church. I know all of these people at my workplace with these unchristian attitudes which I will not name who attends Tenth church. This suggests that some members may not be embodying the values and principles that they profess to believe in during their time at church.Overall, it's important to find a church that aligns with your values and beliefs. If you're someone who wants a religious institution that promotes a more traditional and peaceful environment, the Tenth church might not be the best option for you. It's always a good idea to do your research and attend a few services before committing to a particular church community such as Tenth Church.

Tenth Church
Been there for 6 years and absolutely love it! Warm, friendly, inviting, and Spirit-filled, Tenth is a melting pot of a variety of cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. It is a church that anyone can feel comfortable bringing a friend to. One of the best things I like about Tenth is that it has excellent teaching whether it be on Sunday mornings (have not yet heard a bad sermon!) or during the weekday in the form of seminars, workshops, and courses with guest speakers from all over the continent and many from Regent College. Tenth's amazing team of pastors and auxiliary staff is warm, friendly, approachable and available, and has provided much encouragement and support in my own spiritual journey. Tenth is also a great place to meet active people. The church has a run group that meets every week and a cycling club that will be cycling across BC this summer with the Love in Motion Tour!

Tenth Church
Large church but feels like small church community. It has the resources of a large well run church but it has the community that cares for each other and deeply gets to know one another like a small church. All the advantages of a big church with multiple programs and courses and volunteering opportunities, constant new people coming every week but the people are so welcoming and open. Love it

When I think of Tenth, I think of community. That's what a church should be. Welcoming. Open to all. And a place where not only can we all come together to worship, but we can also build lasting relationships outside of the church. Throughout my years of attending Tenth, I have met so maybe great friends — as part of the congregation, as part of small groups, or as part of a mission team I served on. There are so many opportunities at Tenth — through programs and events all week long — to connect with others, to share in our desire to know God more, and to ultimately serve as brothers and sisters in Him.

When I arrived at Tenth 7 years ago, I was instantly drawn to Pastor Ken's preaching style. He has a great way of relating contemporary anecdotes and references to God's message to enhance understanding and encourage application. As a whole, Tenth is effective in bringing tough topics to the forefront, presenting thought-provoking messages that often leave you with the desire to carry on the conversations with those around you.Tenth has a large congregation, and though I already knew some people when I started attending, it wasn't until I took Alpha/started serving at Alpha that I got to engage with so many more. If you are looking to meet people at Tenth, my advice is to get involved by serving, joining a smallgroup, taking a course (Tenth offers various seminars and courses to help you grow in your faith/Christ-like leadership skills), or all of the above. The talented, gifted, creative, fantastic people you will meet will welcome you into the diverse community that is Tenth.
