I first contacted Marina Novinskaya even before our arrival to Canada, we discussed our plans and agreed that I reach out to her as soon as we arrive. Upon our arrival Marina gave valuable information about applying to various federal and provincial services, benefits, helped to fill out the applications properly. She referenced us to the employment service worker, also within NYCH, who provided consultations on job search through individual sessions and online webinars. That was very helpful for understanding Canadian workplace culture.Through NYCH I started building my first networking relationships which eventually helped me to find my first job in Canada just a few months after arrival. Marina was always ready to answer my questions and eager to help with any matter. I appreciate the impact NYCH had on our first impression of Canada, my experience with then was nothing but positive.

It was very difficult for me to find an internship after graduating from my college. I searched for several months, but in conditions of lockdowns it was almost impossible. Marina Novinskaya helped me a lot. Thanks to her, I was able to start work in a week. And now I have my diploma. I appreciate your support and thanks for your help!

I was once a newcomer years ago. I believe each has its opinion with someone or something. In my experience, Ms. Shajareh has helped me a lot when i first came to Canada. My family has relied on her in so many areas of our settlement including filling up important government forms and finding jobs. She is very supportive and always there when we need her.
