Derek Beech is an excellent real estate agent. He found us our dream apartment in no time, plus was very receptive to calls at any day or time, around the clock. We were first time home buyers, didn't know much, but he was always willing to explain everything in a lot of detail. It will be difficult to provide feedback about Derek without sounding hyperbolic. He is amazing! About 3 1/2 years ago, my husband (who is a realtor from Manhattan) and I started looking for a condo to purchase in downtown Montreal. We were in NYC, so we were not super familiar with real estate in Montreal although we knew the city well and knew exactly where we wanted to buy. After working with one realtor who was not quite up to task, we found Derek. We could not have found a better guide to navigate us through the local real estate market, requirements, and laws. Derek was incredibly patient with us throughout the Covid pandemic—never pressured or rushed us, always provided listings for us to review that fit our criteria, and showed several units to us via video or when we came to Montreal. We finally found our dream condo because of his persistence and his connections (he knew the selling agent and was able to arrange a preview of the unit before it opened to the public). Derek walked us through the entire transaction with supreme grace and competence. We have refered him to friends from NYC and Toronto and will continue to do so. You just won’t find a better residential realtor in Montreal.

Derek took us around condos in downtown Montreal for an afternoon to help us find one when our son entered McGill, and four years later when we were ready to sell it, he had four showings in one and a half hours with two great offers—done! He is efficient, organized, kind, and knowledgeable. Being from out-of-province, we had some questions and concerns when dealing with the buyer’s notary, but he answered his phone immediately and guided us through the process. We highly recommend Derek’s team.
