This store was large, clean, isles were spacious, prices were clearly marked, and had everything a big supermarket chain would usually stock. The self checkout was easy to use and it wasn’t too crowded. Would come back if I ever needed anything else while I’m in the city

This store has recently redone their self checkout system. Before, the system was painless quick and effective. Now, the system is extremely sensitive to product weight. You are no longer able to use the shelf above the bagging area without the machine freezing and requesting you remove the items. Placing empty reusable bags on the bagging platform will freeze the machine unless you click the add bag" button on the screen (which isn't explained anywhere

This store is full of homeless and crackheads. We stopped shopping there because you don't feel safe. If you shop there you will see people stealing, people taking drugs in the washrooms and people stoned everywhere. Sometimes it seems that you are in an episode of The walking dead. I feel sorry for the security working there and for the employees.

The store is very clean, well stocked, and the employees were very pleasant. It's not quite as large as a normal superstore (I didn't see a clothing section, for example) but for food it should have almost everything you need! Don't even need to leave downtown for cheap groceries now, yay.

I really love the location as it's a place that I go to shop and now I don't have far to go as I enjoy shopping downtown. Truth be told, you never know what's gonna happen out on the front and back steps. We were leaving the building once and someone from across the street came and assaulted the person I was walking with. Security came and helped us as it was a completely random attack and we got away mostly uninjured so we're thankful for the always on the clock security. It still doesn't stop me from going there.

NO LONGER ALLOWED TO USE REUSABLE BAGS AT SELF CHECKOUT. They will require you to buy your own bags and refuse to let you load it directly into a reusable bag.After visiting weekly with my same backpack since opening, I am no longer allowed to place my reusable bag on the self checkout. I was instead REQUIRED TO BUY PLASTIC BAGS to put them in, which I could then put in my reusable bags. My other option being to try and carry 10 loose items...They care more about selling you their plastic bags and the illusion of asset protection" (as if my lightweight reusable bag could possibly hide anything else) than they do reusability."

We were excited when they announced the arrival of Real Canadian Superstore in East Village. Its a significant change from what's available in downtown.The store is on the second floor with a smaller footprint. However, most essentials are available here and usually better stocked since most people don't think to come here.Staff are efficient and maintain a clean environment that is inviting to shop at. The Joe clothing area is much smaller so choices are limited. However, there is a pharmacy which is convenient to have around.This Superstore is worth going if you're in the area or you live nearby.

I have been a regular customer at The Supercentre for just over a year, but unfortunately, my recent experiences have been disappointing. The store seems to be overrun with individuals who appear to be struggling with substance abuse issues, which has negatively impacted my shopping experience.
