Always amazing sushi. Nice fresh big portions. Reasonable prices friendly service.In addition when we had an order with our delivery (100% related to Skip and not the restaurant) the team at Li-Ao Nolan Hill went out of their way to remake our order and deliver it to us themselves. Amazing reaction to an issue that was in no way caused by the restaurant.Will always be our go to sushi spot!

I love this place. One of the best sushi spots in Calgary! Yes, it's a little pricey but you're paying for quality and portions are huge - especially for sashimi/ nigiri pieces. Chelly is the best server too, always so attentive!

Li-Ao Sushi (Nolan Hill)
We have ordered take out here many times and have been happy with the food. This is one of the only places around that still offers my favourite, Sunomono Salad. Tonight we tried dining in and the service blew me away. They were so attentive, polite, the food came out quick. The food was delicious and fresh with lovely presentation! We will be back for sure. I highly recommend Li-Ao Sushi!

This is my new go-to sushi spot! The fish here always tastes fresh and everything is decently priced. The Winter Soldier roll is my absolute favorite and the Negi Toro roll melts in your mouth. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the sushi I have ordered, however the cooked food isn't anything special. I would come here only for the sushi. I have noticed the quality for the food is somewhat correlated with how busy it is, however this isn't too big of an issue since everything still tastes great even when busy. I highly recommend this restaurant! Much better than most others I've been to in the city.

Came here for a quick bite with a friend and overall the food was great but the rice was a bit mushy and the roll was falling apart but overall great food and amazing service!

Modern design with Japanese cultural pieces around. The staff was friendly and attentive. Service was fast with the place a little more then half full at the time of the visit 6pm

So obviously great sushi, never any complaints. But I had a door dash order and they gave me spicy mayo but the container had almost none in it. So I called and complained because for me it makes a big difference to my meal. Not expecting anything from them just wanted them to be aware. However they actually DROVE to my house just to drop off a side of spicy mayo. Like WHAT, that’s going above and beyond. I will never order sushi from another restaurant because of them. The food quality has always been amazing but I’ve never had customer service that good anywhere. I still can’t believe they did that for me.

Ordered some rolls and Steak Teriyaki. The rice for the sushi rolls were really dry. The portion size of the teriyaki was really small.

Cute place with really tasty food. The servers were quite shy which made things a bit awkward, but very polite and sweet. They gave us samples which was wonderful and have us a chance to try a few things we were on the fence about. We tried the avocado grenade, WOW! What an explosion of flavour, very aptly named, and worth trying. Decent prices and great size portions for the price point. We will definitely be back with friends and family.
