Upper Canada Child Care (Head Office)

This review is specifically for summer camp 2021 @Maple(Vaughan). Kids spent most of their day on the school ground with minimum supervision and barely any organized activity. Younger kids were bullied by older ones. It was just an extended day care and by no means run as a summer camp. You could see absolute lack of enthusiasm in camp supervisors. My child did not even get a hello on the first day, let alone a warm welcome.

No one picks up the phone. Great service. Not.

This daycare in newmarket stated they would be able to take one of my good friends child who has autism since then they have done nothing but pushed him away, ignored and pushed his mental health to the point she is now going to pull him from the center. My friend has had meetings trying to find ways to help her son and the so called educators prepare action plans for both parties. My friends york region worker has offered to provide funds for extra help and workers to come to have one on one time with her son. However they make him feel like a burden to the point everything is his fault and no matter what is said my friends son never has a chance to express his side. If there was a zero stars I would give it. Childcare is to make children feel safe and happy no matter the difference in learning. This center has grown fear not only to my friend but her little boy who only needs a little extra attention.

Staff pour their hearts into the children, but the upper management treat the staff poorly resulting in high turn over. Your kids meet people they love, only to have them leave due to poor management. The inconsistency can be rough kiddos. It's sad.

NOT sending my kids here. Turn over is too high because they move staff around. Kids have to constantly adjust to different people. Why? Scared of unions? Daycares are poorly maintained now. Probably because head office is too busy spending money on trash gifts for head office folks.
