Vancouver Public Library, nə́c̓aʔmat ct Strathcona Branch

This place has clean bathrooms as well as security in the library that performs well for everybody concerned....have been here quite often using the facilities certainly accessible and well monitored as well as friendly staff.

great library w/a great aboriginal collection.. unfortunately their selection besides that is pretty sparse.. but they're a relatively new location, so this will change w/time i'm sure.. they also recently added the Bud Osborn recording booths.. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but i took a tour, & am looking forward to recording vocals there! the staff is also very nice & helpful.

Accommodating staffs and good security. It's a new library. It's in Strathcona neighbourhood. They have creativity sections, voice recording parts, meeting room, common computers.

Nice and quite spot. Except before closure when all shelter people come for a snooze.

A small branch of the Vancouver Public Library System and a such you can access their entire collection as they will bring any book from any branch to any other branch. This public amenity is a wonderful community asset to our community. Computer time available. New, clean and very appealing. Staff was friendly and helpful. A nice place!

Surprisingly clean and well-kept with helpful staff and good security. No private desks for studying/working but you can book out rooms ahead of time if you wish.

NOTE; I received a response from the library regarding this and understand that there can be difficult patrons, especially in these times. I have edited my rating and review accordingly, removing expression of my opinions and balancing with past good experiences, but can only let the plain facts stand because I still feel the situation could have been dealt with better.Picking up a book today at the Strathcona branch an elderly lady, walking with a stick, asked if she could have a seat and rest her legs, she was told no". She pointed out that there were seats available at the computers but was told by the librarian she couldn't have one. Leaving the library she asked the security guard if she could sit in one of the two chairs at the entrance and was again denied."

Free water and a great cooling centre. Proper social distancing! Clean, modern style and fantastic choices of books and movies.
