Since 2012, Equinox Therapeutic And Consulting Services has run Making Strides, an animal assisted therapy program for Edmonton's city-centre residents. Everyone should have access to mental wellness supports, and Making Strides ensures therapy is consistently available to Edmontonians, even as they navigate challenges such as houselessness, the opioid crisis, and COVID-19. Equinox Therapeutic And Consulting Services has my highest recommendation.

Equinox Therapeutic was recommended to me by a family member. With Amanda Slugoski, I felt that I was in a safe, non-judgmental environment that allowed me to share and explore who I was. Amanda guided me through a self-discovery process and encouraged me to do the work that was needed for change to occur. She reignited the curiosity and passion for life that I had as a kid. She is a knowledgeable and caring person who has a particular interest in trauma. She enabled me to process past trauma and updated my skills and coping mechanisms to a point where I am now able to function at the highest levels. Amanda gave me the gift to understand the importance of keeping the mind as healthy as the body. For all of this, I am eternally grateful as I continue along my journey of discovery and growth.
