Great place to see a variety of local bands from many different genres. A bit of an awkward place to watch the bands -- but don't wear a large hat (to block anyone's view) and nobody will complain. Great bartenders.

Kind of torn about this one. Great live music venue. Bar selection is so so. Tight fit, but pretty good lines of sight if you're there to see the performers.

Always great music here, every night. It's small but doesnt feel cramped, and there's even a tiny dance space. The band is right next to the door though, so be careful when you walk in!

One of the best places in St John's to check out live music. Cozy and friendly venue that's focused only on the music, no VLTs or TVs and a consistently good performers. Early shows on Fridays and Saturdays and plenty far away from the George St madness.

For a small place that packs a punch, The Black Sheep is worth a visit. The place is small but it feels more like a traditional Irish pub because of it. The live music is a good reason to go there.

The best place in St. John's to see live music. Staff are very nice. Bring your guitar or just your voice and maybe you can play with the band!

Great little spot for live music. Skip George street and head straight here if you're looking for evening entertainment.Staff is very friendly, bathrooms are the cleanest I've seen in a while and the music is awesome. Got lucky enough to see Sean Panting play live (several films and The Republic Of Doyle). Apparently star sightings happen here on occasion including names such as Jason Mamoa (Aquaman, Game Of Thrones).Very friendly spot that makes you feel like a local. Highly recommend! Just bring cash cause there may be a cover.
