Food is really tasty. Even though the prices are a bit high but we think it’s worth the food quality. Everything is soft and melting. Pork belly is really good

I love this place! One of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been to. We arrived for lunch without a reservation but the bar was available so we were seated right away. We started with ebi mayo and 3 type sashimi, both were excellent. Next we had the lunch bento which was beautifully plated with a wide variety of salmon, scallops, both raw and cooked, as well as fried chicken, braised pork, and sushi. We also had the sizzling seafood rice which had tons of flavor due to the sizzling stone bowl it came in. Both main dishes came with a side of miso soup. We really enjoyed eating lunch here and we will definitely be back. Plus the staff here was so attentive and kind.

It was my first time visiting the Japanese restaurant Kingyo, the food was absolutely good, and the service was no problem. Only one thing they limited table time to just one hour, my friends and I just had a quick drink, quick eating. Everything kinda super rushes, like eating fast food.

Nice tapas restaurant. Portions are small-medium and prices are a little higher. Quality and service is decent and food quality is alright. Nothing special from what we ordered and fairly average compared to similarly priced Japanese restaurants.Sister restaurants Raisu, Suika are better alternatives from my experience.

We ordered four items as shown in the photos. The salad is the best. The sashimi is the second. The ramen was not bad. Just that the beef was a bit chewy. The pressed salmon sushi wasn’t very good. Too much rice and the rice was not fresh. The place was packed. Fun environment.

The restaurant caught our attention when we walked by the restaurant around 11:50am - people were lining up for the restaurant to open at noon. We were lucky to get the bar seating. It’s not a huge restaurant and some tables were reserved for customers who made advanced reservations. We ordered hot green tea, Stone-Grilled Beef Tongue, Beef Tenderloin Steak Bowl, Sizzling Stone Pork Kakuni Bowl, and all of them were delicious! Great meat quality and well prepared dishes. It’s a restaurant running by Japanese with great foods and services. I highly recommend this place with advanced reservation.

Was excited to come due to good reviews however was very disappointed. It is definitely overrated. The food is so so. Pictures look good but not the taste. We spent about $200 3 adults and 1 kid. dinner menu is diff then lunch. A lot of food are not available during dinner. I wouldn’t want to come back enough said.

SO good!! Another awesome Japanese spot in Vancouver. Service is nice. Everything was delicious. Really loved the bento box—and every single item in it, especially the giant prawn tempura and some fried ball with mashed taro inside it (indescribably tasty). I liked the concept of cooking the meat on a hot stone. Will be back again and again.

I highly recommend Kingyo’s Uni Miso Udon!! Creamy, rich, and flavorful. Every flavor you read on the menu, you can taste, at an excellent quality. It’s a must get.Sashimi was very soft and superb for the price point. The Special Menu had a Blue Fin Tuna Tataki which is an excellent starter to raw fish. Partially seared, it tasted both meaty and fishy; Yuzu citrusy and had garlic nodes. The pressed blue fin tuna sushi was intentionally salty, intentionally fishy, soft and melts in your mouth. If you like a more fishy flavor this one was delicious! The spicy Kobe beef udon packs a punch! The flavor is very full, with hints of garlic. The spice comes from Japanese chili oil and the Kobe beef gives a strong meaty flavor. It’s for an eclectic palate due to its intricacy and depth of flavor. I recommend it as a non-fish option.Because this place is always busy they’re able to serve fresher fish.Portions on the smaller side but it’s enough for a meal.Best to call in to reserve a table.
