Borgata Lodge

We loved this resort. Bike trails and golf is what we wanted and what we got! Our apartment was lovely.. both our indoor living space and outdoor space. We would definitely return.

Very pleasant place where we stayed for our quarantine upon arrival in Canada. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially as we needed food delivered directly to our room. We stayed in a loft studio which had great view on mountains and golf. Highly recommend!

I pulled out the hide-a-bed from the couch, and there were hairs in it. They clearly didn’t change the sheets. It was late at night at this point, so no one was at the front desk to ask for new sheets. I had to sleep on the small love seat instead with a think little blanket. The pillows weren’t fluffy or too terribly comfortable. The towels had a stain and were about as thick as a tea towel. The volume on the tv didn’t work. You could hear us talking from the hallway. The room itself was quite dated and didn’t have a hotel feel. Felt almost like staying at someone’s apartment that you don’t know, which threw me off. Some people might enjoy that particular aspect, but I felt very uncomfortable with that. I will give them credit that the next day, they upgraded us to a specialty suite for no extra charge. Thats nice, but it didn’t change the poor sleep I’d gotten the night before, and that we felt like we wasted money on such a poor experience. There’s many other nicer hotels in the area for around the same price that room was. When they upgraded us to a new room, it was in a different building and difficult to find. When we did find it, the room itself was even more difficult to find as there’s no directional signs anywhere. The lock on the door was very complicated. It had a number code and a normal key. No key cards you typically get at hotels. Good thing we found it on time and figured out the lock, as we were on the way to a funeral and couldn’t risk being late. This new room itself was a lot nicer, and very big, though it still felt more like a nice condo than a hotel. Checked the sheets to make sure they were actually changed this time, and there was one single hair on the other side of the pillow. Granted, this could’ve just come from the maid’s hair while changing the sheets, but I wasn’t gunna trust it. I don’t want lice! So there’s another night spent sleeping on the couch. So for the same price a chain hotel would’ve been, I slept on the couch two nights in a row…

When my family walked into our room, we were shocked and dismayed by what we witnessed. The double sized bed was not made. The sheets were unchanged. There was a used towel on the kitchenette counter. In the bathroom, there were 2 used towels on the floor and the trash can still had dirty paper towel in it.We arrived late (8:30 PM), so the office was closed. We had to get in touch with the manager. He did not seem too apologetic, but he did get someone out to us to clean up, after exchanging about 4 calls to different employees. We checked in the lodge on Saturday, and apparently they had the room cleaned on Monday. I think the manager or whoever should have checked the room on Saturday to make sure that the room was cleaned and ready for another guest to come in.Other than that, I think the lodge was decent. I like the nice modern interior design of the room. However, I do think it is a bit far from the city core (about 20 minute drive from Kelowna downtown).I don't think I will be staying here again.

A bit far from the city center but not too bad for driving around. Beautiful location if you like golf. Staff are friendly enough. Each unit actually has 2 rooms sharing another outer door. Some people may feel it's annoying but didn't really cause us any trouble.

So we rented a room here with the information that we'd be staying in a queen bed. It was more than a double bed. We checked in after hours, so we had to have a discussion with the front desk the next day. The lady who was stationed actually started arguing with us that it was indeed a queen bed.We calmly explained to her that we own a queen bed and are more than familiar with the dimensions of a queen bed. It was NOT a queen.We also could not access the sofa bed as it could not fully pull out due to the dimensions of the room. Absolute false advertising. After some discussion we had the cleaning staff rearrange the position of the sofa bed. My partner and I ended up sleeping in two different beds as the first wasn't a queen. The sofa bed was also extremely uncomfortable.Overall not a great impression.

The carpet was thread bare, patched with new carpet in one area.The only clean spot on a 16x24 bbq grill was about 6x9 inches. The rest of bbq was rusty with burnt on crusty food bits.The sofa seat was only 13 inches off the floor but when you sat down your butt was 9 inches off the floor, I had a tape measure. The tv was 6 1/2 feet off the floor, had to put it on a footstool so we didn’t get sore neck.Vertical blinds would not close properly, slats turned every which way.Nobody in office when we arrived, stood around for 10 or so minutes when a cleaning staff arrived and said the woman went home sick and our key was in a lock box. She showed us how to access it.One packet of the free coffee had been opened and partly used then folded closed and put back. Obviously cleaning staff didn’t do their job.Patio table was so shaky we were afraid to put our laptop on it.Needless to say we will NEVER recommend Borgata Lodge to anyone, friends or foes.

We booked the 2 story loft. Advertised as a king bed but was a queen. No big deal. The front desk wss amazing! I have never been asked at check out if they could have done more to make our stay better!! For the price our stay was over the top!! Thanks!! We will be back!

Once we walked into the room the kitchen sink was gurgling and backing up. The rooms were to have queen size beds in the ads, but it wasn't. Aftter talking to other guests they mentioned they also didn't get a queen size either. The deck for the unit had pine needles and weeds everywhere. The patio chairs had ash on them from someone's cigarettes. The bathroom had hairs on the back of the toilet, counter, and in the tub. I understand some hairs get missed, but this was an excessive amount to be overlooked making me really question the cleanliness. The tub doesn't drain properly making it unsafe while showering as it pooled at the bottom. Even hours after the shower there was still standing water in the tub. We've had much better stays and experiences at 2-star places.
