The Apartment Shoppe

Dave & the team are absolutely incredible to work with! We stayed in one of the units for the month of March 2016 and our experience was fantastic. They've furnished our place, responded to any request that we've had the same day and even allowed us to move out a day later. If I didn't have a lease starting on April 1st already signed, I would've loved to stay!

Dave and his team at the apartment shoppe were fantastic to deal with. We rented a furnished cottage very last minute as our house sold and we needed to find suitable housing for the winter. He was very accommodating, and explained the rental contract and our obligations thoroughly. Anytime we had a question or concern, we received a response quickly. I would recommend The Apartment Shoppe if you are looking for housing in the London area.

We rented for 5 years an apartment in a building at the corner of Princess and Waterloo. Dave was by far the best landlord we ever had (we have been renting for 17 years now). What we liked about him is that he genuinely cares about his tenants. We had an excellent relationship with him and his team. They were very responsive when they was a problem and they also made it also clear when there was things that they would not do. I recommend the Apartment Shoppe with no hesitation.

I live at 308 princess Ave for 4 months - mice, cockroaches, bedbugs, oh my! There was even an ant infestation. Each time they sprayed they would simply move the refrigerator, spray behind it, put it back and leave, all with in five minutes.We were told before moving in that the place would be fixed up, which seemed to mean a new fridge. There was a hole in the wall from the front door handle, broken windows, a burnt countertop, and many missing light coverings.Luckily it was easy to get out because we were familiar with the residential tenancies act and a public health inspector told us that we were living in a health hazard. Fun!

We have known the owner of the Apartment Shoppe for 16 years and have been tenants for almost half that time. This is the best experience renting that we have ever had. The properties are not 'soulless boxes' but beautifully restored Victorian homes. As such, not all things are new and can break/wear out. We have always had friendly and prompt responses whenever we had an issue. My wish for a more modern refrigerator was granted even though the old one was working just fine! Where else could you get that kind of service?I'm surprised at the negative reviews I see here. But I've also seen horrible reviews for other businesses that I have no problems with. I suspect it's a bit of 'how you treat others is how they will treat you'.

Dave Russel is the worst landlord I've ever had in my entire life. House falling apart, never answered service calls, kept home in terrible state of repair. Did not even supply heat for one years time. Had to take this landlord to the rental tribunal twice. This company of his has close to 5 workers for over 60 properties and many more tenants. If I could give you any advice, you'd be much happier with anyone else. Save yourself stress and anxiety, as nobody rents from this guy once they see the reality of his business standards. Update: I was told the London Free Press called this person a slumlord due to all the complaints by tenants for his business practices

As a tenant, I have moved apartments nearly every few years, until i found an apartment with the Apartment Shoppe! Dave has been the best landlord i have had, and my experience with the Apartment Shopped has been nothing less then amazing! They are quick to help fix any issues that come up in our apartment and have been very respectful of not entering the apartment without our prior knowledge. If you are a good tenant looking for a good landlord, The Apartment Shoppe is the way to go! Nothing but great things to say here! Thank you for the wonderful experience as a tenant, for once in our lives!

I'm a student at Fanshawe and i'm staying with other students in apartment shoppe property in Downtown. The landlord is a cool and friendly guy. He is maintaining the properties at its best. I would suggest apartment shoppe houses to my friends.
