I took two guitars (an acoustic and an electric) to Jason for a routine checkup and set up after 20 years of playing. He took the time to explain what was needed and then what he had done all for a very reasonable cost. Now my guitars look like new and play better than ever. I won’t hesitate to bring a guitar back to Jason again.

Absolutely recommend Rice Guitar Works!... I talked to Jason about an acoustic guitar that I wanted to get fixed for my husband. It had broken strings and definitely needed TLC. I don't know the first thing about guitars and he was absolutely amazing. He made this guitar look brand new. He was so accommodating with time and pricing, he is really informative and does incredible work. You can see the passion as a musical artist and an extremely talented Guitar Craftsman. I appreciate all his help and can't wait to surprise my husband with his revived acoustic guitar.

I was looking for a professional guitar tech to address the tuning issues with my recently acquired used Gretsch with Bigsby trem. The local shops were asking me to drop off my guitar for at least 2 weeks. I was hoping to have it back in a couple days. I contacted Jason and he responded very quickly and told me to bring down the guitar for him to have a look. He was familiar with the guitar and complications commonly associated to tuning issues on these guitars. He walked me through everything and advised a new bone nut (which he crafted himself!), filed the saddles and cleaned up the frets, then an overall set up. He did great work and had my guitar ready in a couple days. When I went to pick up the guitar he spent time with me explaining the work he completed as well as completing some on-the-spot adjustments to lower the action to my personal preference.Jason is a very capable and accommodating technician who has great customer service (super friendly!) and very fair prices. I have no hesitation in recommending RGW to anyone looking for quality work on their guitar. I'll be a return customer.

I took my new-to-me 6-string bass to Jason to be set up properly with new strings. The action was pretty high, and the frets and bridge were a bit grimy.When I got it back, it was so much easier to play and it was about as shined up as it could get. My only complaint is that since I read all the other 5-star reviews carefully before deciding to take it to him, I have little to add!Admittedly, the service I needed wasn’t major repairs, but seeing and hearing about his other projects, it’s obvious he loves this.You can see he’s curious and passionate, analytical and focused. Occasionally, you might meet someone doing their job and they make YOU want to do their job because of how much they enjoy it and how good they are doing it. Jason’s like that.Strongly recommended.

Jason was very thorough while building my Telecaster. He was professional, knowledgeable and kept me well informed along the way. Would not hesitate to bring my other guitars to him for servicing. He also services amps and teaches as well.

I contacted Justin to do a setup on my Seagull guitar. We met the same day and he looked it over. I had been told that I should get the action lowered and he concurred. He also recommended Elixir strings for it. I was surprised when he said it would be ready the next day. The work was professional and the pricing was lower than other companies that I had reached out to. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I went to Rice Guitar Works to get my strings replaced. Jason was kind enough to teach me how to properly change my strings without snapping them. He also taught me some useful tricks as well as polished my fret. Really happy I found him on google!

I don't typically leave review's however if there's anywhere that is a true five stars, it's here. Jason showed incredible care and attention to detail throughout the whole process, and his love for guitars shines through his work. He was also very informative and explained what he was actually doing which was super interesting and definitely very helpful to know! I had gotten a string change, action adjustment, as well as had the input jack re-soldered, and all this took just an hour. He also polished and cleaned the guitar. I would truly recommend here for any and all guitar needs, and definitely will be coming back in the future!
