Had a great weekend here. Great campground. Even with the smoke conditions we had a great time with the dogs. Highly recommend! Quick drive from edmonton

A nice campground in some important ways, including the natural setting. That said, I was stunned to discover that there are no public potable water spigots anywhere in the campground. During office hours, potable water is available from the campground caretaker from a tank in the workshop at the rear of the main office. Remarkably, I could find no mention of this reality on their website. A promotional video linked to their website lists, among ~20 campground amenities, “Tap Water Available”. This is, to my knowledge, the extent of the disclosure of the potable water situation here, and seems to me a bit disingenuous. I leave it to the reader to decide what rating a campground with no public potable water spigot(s) should receive, but I don’t think it’s five stars.

This was our first time and we loved it! Well cared for park and sites. Private, well treed sites with awesome firepits that we could easily cook on amn then enjoy the evening fire. 15, 30 amp and unserviced sites. Free showers and flush toilets as well as play ground areas and large open grass area. Property borders the north shore of Birch Lake which was excellent for kyaking and enjoying the birds. Innisfree and the Petro Can are right across the highway but there is virtually no road noise in the campground. Small concession for small snacks and ice cream. The park attendant Cat was marvelous! Warm, friendly and accommodating to help us with our Yaks and give great advice on the area and what to see on the water. We booked online and upon arrival discovered our chosen site didn't suit us, and Cat instantly helped us find the right spot and changed our reservation. It was beautifully quiet and peaceful and very enjoyable. The lake is very alkaline and has put people off in the past which is a shame because the area and facility are beautiful. Take binoculars for the bird-watching!

Nature lover's dream! Beautiful and serene, tons of trees, sites are well spaced. Lots of different birds and wildlife to discover, trails, water and beach to explore. Flush toilets and hot showers, powered sites. New manager Cat, is welcoming and attentive. Firewood, ice, snacks and more available in the onsite canteen, in case you forget anything. Easy access to the water for your kayak or paddle board. Pets are welcome too.

We picked this campground randomly to camp with our friend from Ontario due to closeness and availability. Cat was accommodating as we arrived early for our reservation. Cat and Brooke always checked in on us for anything we may have needed or just to say hi!!! The spot we had was perfect for our needs - privacy, size, pet friendly and accessibility. We will be returning as this will be our new spot to come for relaxation and peacefulness!!! Thanks for the wonderful experience.
