Café Saigon
Over priced, lunch is not good, not enough meat, slow service, not traditional Vietnamese, they don’t have special beef pho or Vietnamese coffee, my meal was 20 bucks with like 4 bites of meat, and chicken is salty, salty spring roll, my meal just filled with over cooked carrots

It worth the quality and the friendly stuff, I give 5 stars for those!First time trying this restaurant with my friends, not a place that I wanna go back to asap, it’s good but not so delicious for the price and the quantity (Some plate are little over priced)If you wanna try this place go for it but don’t have high expectations.

Had a very weird experience where my friend and I asked if there was a dessert menu and our waitress offered options of fried pineapple, apple, or banana. When we ordered fried banana she replied “you shouldn’t get that tonight”. When we asked why not she said “it takes a long time”, and then walked away…

The staff was lovely, probably the best thing about this restaurant! It's a good place for a casual and inexpensive dinner with BYOB.However, the menu and food could be greatly improved. It lacked flavor and the American Chinese items felt out of place for a Viet restaurant. Although I understand that they want to accommodate for the general population, it is not a great dining experience for authentic food.

Cafe Saigon is not a legitimate Vietnamese restaurant, nor is it an exceptional restaurant in its own right. It is nicely located downtown in an old brick building, and the interior sports a nice vibe, sitting somewhere between a tiki hut and a brasserie. The service is slow, and they only take cash or debit (this is very disappointing for a place that charges over $20 for a pad thai)In addition, there's this poor old lady who is working as a server there, and there wasn't anyone else helping her out the day my wife and I visited. We felt bad for her, she was very kind and very sweet. There was also an annoying kid running around behind the bar, not the best. The food was....... bland. The pad thai wasn't spicy at all, and the portion was quite small for the ridiculous price. My wife (Vietnamese) got a vietnamese dish that she said reminded her more of an European dish than a Vietnamese or even an Asian dish.Considering the high standard restaurants are held to in Montreal, this place is a definite pass.

Some of the worst service I’ve had in a while. Started okay, as we got sat immediately and was given a small sample of General Tao chicken to try. Then it was basically radio silence. Server grabbed water and cups for a table sat after us while talking over us in French. We sat for 10 minutes and didn’t even get handed a menu or water… Had to walk up and leave, which is something I do VERY rarely as someone who eats out quite regularly.

Good food and great customer service! My companion and I reached the restaurant at around 945 (near their closing hours) but despite that they offered us a seat at the restaurant and continued to serve us way past their opening hours. Food was delicious and amazing, really good Vietnamese food. Prices were affordable for what they were offering.

We dined at Restaurant Café Saigon on the later side (9:30 pm). There were many vegetarian options, and the dinner I ordered was tasty (tofu ginger stir-fry). It came with salad and noodles or rice. My boyfriend enjoyed his dumplings. The servers were friendly and helpful. There was a large table of friends drinking wine and another table with small children, and we enjoyed being there as a couple, so it seemed like a good atmosphere for everyone.
