TK Elevator Vancouver

Our elevator in our building has been down for at least 2 months now (so we only have 2 elevators working in a building of 50+ floors). The company seems to have no urgency to fix it any time soon. Little to no explanations provided.

I usually don’t submit reviews but the lack of concern and lack of service has made me extremely angry.Our elevator breaks down on a regular basis and we haven’t seen any service personnel for quite some after they are notified. We live on the top floor of our building and having to climb the stairs several times a day which is is hard enough for us but my in-laws who are aged 88 and 94 years old find it impossible. I am praying that we don’t have a medical emergency where paramedics have to haul a gurney up those flights of stairs where time is of the essence.At this point we are strongly considering moving from our unit along with our in-laws from their unit (same floor as us)I belong to a business association where we have many developers in our membership and will pas on my review to them.

They been trying to fix one elevator for the past months with no progress. Now suddenly another elevator broke. Our 50+ floor building now has to share ONE elevator. How do you “fix” an elevator only for it to break right away the day after?

In our building we have had an elevator out of commission for 4 months. Within a week of fixing" it

One of their drivers went the wrong way down a one way stretch Triumph in East Van this evening (between Semlin and Lakewood) almost hitting three cyclists and another car while doing so. Obviously just trying to bypass traffic on Dundas. Judging by the other reviews they show as much care with their work as they do with their driving. I’d avoid.

Our elevators constantly break down and take ages to be repaired. This is due to most elevators in highrises being unique for some parts such as height, which affects cable lengths that have to be ordered to size.Our elevator has been down since the end of May 2021. At the time we were told it would be out of service for 2 weeks (Mid-June) as the cable was ordered. This is a special network cable to allow communication of the cab and the control computer throughout the height of the building.A MONTH passed by and they then advised they received the cable but then had to order a new custom part that they neglected to order in the first place. They expected to repair the elevator by 7th, which then changed to July 16th due to the part not arriving, and then estimated it should be done by the 24th. Today is the 24th, and the elevator is STILL not repaired.Each delay was NOT communicated to strata, who constantly have to hound them for updates even though they are contracted to service our elevators.I have no faith in TK Elevator here in the GVA. Thyssenkrupp is a worldwide brand but here in the Greater Vancouver Area they don't represent it well at all.

In our building of 49 floors we have had an elevator out of commission since January (7 months ago). Every time they come to fix one, they claim another one needs repairs or rope replacements. Sometimes 2/3 of our elevators are shut down. This is absolutely unacceptable and I have no faith in the quality or safety of this companies work. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

I rarely leave online reviews. I also ponder why there are so many negative reviews. I presume it is because nobody thinks toleave a positive review when their elevator works fine.I live in a building that has used TK for years and can only recall one incident when the elevator got stuck. Probably because like all things parts break sometimes. It was repaired quickly. They do routine servicing monthly at this building.This company provided amazingly fast service for me twice. The first time our house and car keys were dropped down the elevator shift. Our technician was in the area and retrieved them within an hour and even drove to my wife's work to drop them off. Then, I had a cell phone go down the shaft which I needed at the time for a family emergency. Again, they delivered very quickly and coordinated it on a long weekend. In my experiences so far nothing but outstanding and compassionate service.

Great friendly service people. We're well served and looking forward to getting our minor issue resolved.

The elevator has been shuddering for 2 months when it gets to the 1st floor. Over the 2 month period it has gotten worse. I was 9n the elevator when the doors would not open on the floors. Took us back to the first floor. I was told by the apartment manager they were waiting for parts. To day a man got stuck on the elevator.. the outside door opened which left the shaft open. Terrible! I think the man is still in the elevator.
