My partner and I just went to D&A Macleod to get a grasp on debt that we have. They were so helpful and non-judgemental throughout the entire process, and guided us in the best direction. Allan and his team really went above and beyond to make sure we were in fincial order. Forever thankful!!

I am five months pregnant and turned to D & A MacLeod for finical advice and they left me waiting TWO MONTHS without updates. For TWO months I was continuously stressed and calling the office just to be told that the two gentlemen helping me, Alan and Glenn were in fact busy and they would “get back to me” yet never did. The receptionist constantly made me feel as I was a bother and anytime I called she would say “ Hi, they are aware you’ve been calling you should get a call back soon.”If I could give zero stars, I would. Dealing with them, especially while I’m pregnant has been nothing but absolutely anxiety inducing.D & A MacLeod is clearly too busy to be taking on new clients right now and I suggest you go somewhere else. I had my file released and I was helped by another company SAME day, with far more information, friendliness and professionalism.

Absolute heartless thieves. I've been informed by financial advisors in the years since that they never should have approved my filing for bankruptcy for such a small amount. They completely took advantage of my lack of financial knowledge and desperation in my difficult situation. I then went on to be homeless and receive an Autism diagnosis and am now on ODSP, and fought for 2 years to obtain the Disability Tax Credit. When I received it, over 75% of the backdated amount I was to receive went straight to D&A MacLeod, as per the bankruptcy contract I had ignorantly signed. I reached out to try to appeal to their humanity and beg them to at least let me receive part of it, but there was no humanity to be found. They ignored me for months, then said their legal department said the contract was ironclad, and I was met with gatekeeping when I asked to speak to Mr. MacLeod directly. 2 years of bureaucracy and fighting for a Disability Benefit after all my hardships and surviving on an ODSP pittance, and in the end, all it did was line their pockets with thousands more of my money and ruin my credit for 7 years. Run as far away from these people as you can, and reach out to credit counselors instead.*edited to add*: obviously i am not using my real name. and the fact remains that i was completely taken advantage of and a bankruptcy should never have even been an option in my case to begin with, and all its implications with it.

I know there's a lot I'm unsure of when it comes to finances, credit & how everything works but from my very first conversation, I was put at ease & felt comfortable talking about my own situation. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly & explained everything that was happening in a way that was easy to understand. I strongly recommend D & A MacLeod for anyone who needs help, like I did.
