Art Nefsky's Showoffs

I give this vocal coach a 1 star. If I could give him a 0 star I would. Arthur is a very rude and disrespectful person. His personality and professionalism is horrible. My studio time with him was only 5 mins until he kicked me out and told me he won’t work with me that I should leave his house. I was so respectful and so dedicated to sing and learn/improve on my vocals and he just shattered my dreams.

I originally had our band reach out to Art, as I/we were looking to work on stage presence and performance. Personally I had been out of the game for a long time, and originally felt if I could get my vocal technique straightened out, that the stage presence would follow. I was wrong. Art was very blunt in his assessment of me (exactly what I needed), and his coaching has allowed me to relax, and be myself. He offered great tips on performance, that after much repetition, are starting to develop naturally. A great teacher who understands performance, and audiences. Highly recommended!!

Years ago I took Art's singing class to overcome my fear of public speaking, which really opened my eyes on how good I could be with some vocal training. Now I took classes with Art again to learn how to sing properly for my wedding, which was a smashing hit - everyone loved it, especially my wife. So really appreciated it Art!

I have been working with Art for about two months and already I notice a big improvement in my breathing and also in my comfort level. He makes you feel relaxed in the lessons so you can be comfortable singing without any pressure. I recommend Showoffs to anyone who loves to sing!

Great place. Art has a great way of getting our very shy daughter to come out of her shell. She looks forward to to her weekly video lesson. Her singing has improved so much. She has learn many many new technics and we enjoy the video they make together with her songs! So if your looking for an amazing instructor this is the place to go hands down!!!! I took my first singing lesson with Art Nefsky some 9 years ago, and have never looked back. I look forward to my weekly lessons with a passion. Art makes my singing lessons both fun and challenging, and has been instrumental in helping me find my voice. Learning to sing has boosted my overall confidence and has given me a whole new dimension of creative enjoyment!

Art is a wonderful teacher! So happy that I found him! Not only that he has so much experience teaching, he is a kind and such a pleasant person! I think he can make anyone to love his lessons! Highly recommend!

Its part of your job to work with people who need help improving and enhancing their vocal skills. After 5 minutes you say its not gonna work out, and you ask the client to leave? To judge someone based on first interaction and that suddenly and to decline that person of your service does not make sense to me. Shouldnt helping people to learn and enhance their vocals the whole point of your career?To not realize the fact that your words can very much have a negative impact on ones self esteem and confidence and shatter ones hopes and dreams, really demonstrate how unprofessional you are. Especially as a vocalist you should know how people really have to come out their shell and feel to be in a comfort zone to express their vocal skills, and you turning them down after not even 10 minutes is very disappointing. Words are powerful so use them wisely and think twice before you say something to someone that may hurt them or discourage them towards reaching their goals.

First trial assessment class, loved it, Art was so kind and encouraging. He has this unique magic that makes you open up and relax. He's also honest and won't BS you and tell you everything you do is perfect, he is real and kind, will be going back!

My voice lessons with Art Nefsky taught me breathing techniques and vowel pronunciations. He identified my strength and helped me work on it. Art is fun, honest, and a great voice coach.
