one of my favorite places in the city ❤️❤️❤️. The mackerel spaghetti is heaven in a bowl. I also had a broccoli anchovy special that was superb— perfectly seared broccoli, tangy rich sauce. The staff is chill, friendly, and can give a great wine rec

Best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. They are a must try. The mini pancakes (Pikelets) and scone with clotted cream and jam also never disappoint.

Some of the BEST pancakes I’ve ever had! Those little bite sides pancakes packed a punch of flavor and butter! Great coffee too! Also my husband had some sausage (tasted homemade) and the creaminess silkies scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted in my life! Such a great cafe. Great coffee as well! Latte was so rich and creamy. On the way out we had a honey pastry STOP IT! So flaky and soft and chewy and delicious! We didn’t leave a crumb on those plates lol

I really enjoyed this place. They had wide varieties of food from breakfast to dinner so there's something for everyone. I would recommend that you order with the intention of sharing because the portions can be a bit small. We got the tomato soup, albacore ceviche, breakfast sandwich, and the mackerel spaghetti between three people. I would say my favourite was the mackerel spaghetti - it was very unique and had very interesting textures. But you should avoid this dish if you don't like overly fishy smells or flavours. Breakfast sandwich (salmon) was also very tasty but it was very tiny. I think I would like to try their sausage with the sandwich next time! They also seem to have a great selection of wines but I didn't get a chance to try them. I would visit again around the dinnertime to try other menus!

I'm giving a 5* because I can't give a 4.5* but they don't deserve a 4* according to my experience.First this place does something every restaurant should do: the tip is included in the price. (Expect prices to be inflated compared to other places and the vine prices bite a little).I go to a restaurant for the food, not to be faked treated like a king, a good service is expected and I don't want to have to think about how much waiters deserve to be paid, they should make a decent salary no matter my food experience or mood. As long as they bring me the food and are polite, the job is done. And guess what, they delivered a great service and the food was delicious!I loved that we could take several small dishes and share. The portions were just right and the mains/sides tasted fantastic. The place is also nice , it's not too big, feels intimate yet we were not squished. There is a nice bar, big windows. it's a nice cozy place.I had however 2 downsides:1) I was a bit disappointed with the dessert (strawberry trifle) it tasted a bit chemical and was not at the level of the rest of the food I had, not bad but I'm sure they can do better. It just tasted like something generic I could have on a Disney cruise.2) the vines are good but quite expensive, having a bottle makes the final price a bit too expensive, would be appreciated if they offered more options that don't require us to have to sell our kidneys to come here again.Despite that, I'm still rating them a solid 4.5* meaning 5*Now imagine if they also include all the taxes, that would be the dream !Also since the tip is included I hope the salary of the waiters are adapted accordingly.

Eating at Larrys was a good experience.Their sandwich’s were good, even with the service included I found them a bit on the expensive side, the staff was nice but the service was long.I find it amusing/weird that the service is included, but not the taxes, I think doing both would be a great idea !Paying 8.5$ (without taxes) for French fries, but 7 for rillettes or terrine seems strange too !Overall I think Larrys is probably aimed more toward breakfast than lunch or dinner experience, there menu made more sense in that category.

I dined at here recently and had a mixed experience. The food was fantastic, but service fell short. The tip being included was limiting, and the server forgot to bring extra bread for the steak tartare. Furthermore, the server's attire was unprofessional, revealing a crop top and visible pubic hair. Improvements in service are needed despite the delicious food.

This was probably the best meal we had in our visit to Montréal.If you love breakfast then this definitely the place to go.I got scrambled eggs and it was spectacular.... hold on , I don't think you heard me right.I GOT SCRAMBLED EGGS AND THEY WERE SPECTACULAR.The pancakes were ridiculous, the sausage was freaking killer and the coffee...... stop it, sooooo goood

We had been very much looking forward to trying out Larry’s after reading the many positive reviews. We got the hamburger and pulled pork. They were good but not amazing. The service was the biggest turn-off, extremely inattentive if not somewhat superficial. When I asked our server for a glass of wine, we thought we would get it within 5, maybe 10 minutes. Well… she never came back as she went off to do some wine tasting with another colleague and forgot about us. We found at the other end of the bar. We had to ask another server to help and she even had a very blasé attitude about helping us. The check took forever to get as well as payment. We left Larry’s with the feeling of never wanting to come back. The management and staff made you feel that customers were more a bother. The place has a laid back somewhat trendy vibe but with the “I am too busy or feeling that I have other things to do than serve customers.” There are way better places with good and genuinely friendly service to dine in Montreal than Larry’s. Better food as well.

one of the best meals i’ve had in montreal during this trip. everything was amazing (except i wasn’t big fan of the porchetta sandwich) and prices were good. my highlights were the french fries (so fire), mackerel spaghetti, and beef tartare. i really want to come back and try more food here.
