Marlowe Grooming Tattoo & General Store

Been coming here for a couple of years, and have had cuts done by Pete, Lilly and Oliver. All of them have been great cuts, from great barbers. Shout out to Lilly, who always makes me feel right at home!

It's hard to find the words to hype up Marlowe Grooming (formerly Good Hair Co.) without sounding like a bot, but I'll do my best.All of the staff are rad, super skilled, kind souls. The space itself oozes of inclusivity and positive vibes. My barber, Lily, is a special gem of a human. I never used to be very chatty during haircuts and now I find that my sessions are too short to do a full catch-up with them. She cares so genuinely about her clients and I've never felt so taken care of and seen for who I am. They have me regularly cackling during our sessions and as a bonus I always leave looking fresh AF. I've never had so many compliments on my hair from strangers! As someone with many terribly awkward and uncomfortable haircut experiences in the past, Lily is the barber I always dreamed of having. 10/10 would recommend <3

I can't say enough good things about Marlowe! They have a talented staff team, and the atmosphere they create is warm and welcoming. They're intentional about creating great experiences for folks from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The owners Syd and Pete are lovely, community-minded humans. I've have awesome cuts from Jo, Kelsey, and Syd (because I'm notorious for booking last minute) and every time I've left happy!

A+ experience. Peter was fantastic. I went in with a general idea & we worked towards the right cut that he executed perfectly. The shop is also really well put together, pricing is fair, and the music was great. Highly recommend!

My 13-year-old wanted a drastic change in hairstyle from long and thick to much shorter. I looked everywhere to find a salon that didn’t charge men’s haircut prices vs women’s haircut prices. Hair is hair! I found the Good Hair company. They are, as Lily says, not just queer friendly, but queer *celebrated*. And celebrate they did! My little one was so excited to have a haircut that reflects on the outside how they feel in the inside. Lily took her time and great care during this “transformation haircut” as she called it. The shape of the cut is just beautiful and exactly like the photos we brought in for reference. The free counseling session for both of us was welcome too! :) We booked right away for a follow-up appointment with Lily. Oh, and for such a lot of work, they really didn’t charge that much. If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. Good job!

I recently moved to Kitchener and i searched everywhere for a place that was queer friendly. Wasn’t able to find anything until I stumbled upon Oliver’s social media. Oliver was extremely welcoming and kind, I have always struggled with haircuts as I have a lot of sensory issues but Oliver made everything so easy and relaxing, it was the best salon experience I’ve ever had! Also as a bonus, he is a killer hairdresser and gave me back my lost confidence with a super clean awesome looking haircut!If you haven’t tried this salon yet…what are you doing??

As soon as I walked into the shop I felt welcomed, comfortable and ready to relax. Who doesn’t like to be looked after! Kelsey has always taken her time and always makes me feel great all the way through the process. It’s also nice to establish a friendship with all the other amazing people Peter & Sydney have brought together to work here. Heck if I had steady hands and didn’t chat so much I’d love to be a part of their family!!!

A great salon filled with talented and lovely Hairstylists/Barbers. Have had 2 haircuts and a color and they turned out great each time.

Received one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. Oliver was incredible and a breath of fresh air. Down to earth, welcoming environment. Absolutely incredible.
