Golden Eagle Camp & Outfitting

Accommodations were good, owners very nice and informative. Couch and matching chair definitely require an upgrade soon in the cabin we had. ....not something my wife would sit on ever

My husband and I, and now our two young children are what you would call regulars" to Golden Eagle Camp. I was introduced to them when I was a child (different owners at the time)

The fishing is non stop and the bell was going of almost daily (successful Black bear hunt). The cabins are spotless and have everything you need for your stay. The boats are equally accommodating for all your fishing needs. The price is definitely right for what you're getting at Golden Eagle Camp! All around wonderful experience and looking forward to hearing back for another week! Congrats to the new owners as of 2018 for doing a fantastic job thus far.

We went as a winter long weekend family getaway and loved it! It was clean, beds made and firewood stocked. Lots of games and DVD’s in the office/store for our use. Liz and Mike are awesome hosts! If it works out we’d definitely go back!

We spent a week here in July. Rented a 2 bedroom cabin and a boat. The owners Mike & Liz were very nice.Pros - Boat was premium with all the bells and whistles. Mike looked after gas etc every night and was always around if you needed anything. The camp was nice and quiet. Lots of places to explore on the river, but you have to be careful as there's a fair bit of dead heads and shallow spots out there. Our cottage had a cable TV and having a covered porch was nice too.Cons - The website is designed very well and the pics look great. Here's the problem, the cottages have aged and could use some upgrading, so they're not in the same condition as the pics would have you believe. There was also a fair bit of cobwebs inside the cottage and it would have been nice if some of those areas would have been cleaned up a bit more.Overall, we had a nice stay and the cottage (pretty cheap) and boat (more expensive) were appropriately priced based on their features and condition they were in.

Excellent weekend at Golden Eagle camp. Will most definitely return .

Spent a week at the Resort, great Place to stay with family or group of buddies, lots for kids todo, boat rentals are nice as well, the cottages are rustic but beautiful. Carefree atmosphere all week.

Never had a chance to experience the stay.We had a deposit down and two weeks before schedule holiday when we were to arrive. We got a call saying they made a mistake, the peoplewho has been going there for years wants to have it for two weeks. They offered us the next week instead. When people plan a holiday they can't just change there holiday schedule.When we first put down our deposit Liz told us they just had a cancellation and that's the only opening they had for the summer it'sfunny that they had the next week free after allSo we planned the holidays around that time when we booked .So now good luck to us we have two weeks to find something elseSo to say will will never get and business from us in the fortune.Very disappointed ICarolin

Just returned from a 4 night trip to the Outpost Cabin. Arrived early but Mike and Liz had me set up and boat in the water in no time. They made sure the cabin was set up and loaded with firewood. The fishing and wildlife was plentiful. Great relaxing trip. Thanks
