This review only applies for the arena part because I only took my son there for skating class. They have viewing areas in and outside the arena. So if you would like to get a great view without getting freezing, then you can choose to stay outside. The arena itself is big and there are lots of room for changing into skates.

I am leaving a review for the Unionville skate club only. I have not participated or observed any other activity at the community centre. I enrolled my daughter (6) in to the learn to skate program and while she did get comfortable on the ice it had little to nothing to do with the program. Parents PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY. It's not worth the price. Throughout the 10 week program they maybe gave her direction about 10 times. Its a large group of kids with different skill levels. I expected a little more attention to the beginners. For the first 3 weeks my child was aimlessly wandering around looking for her cohort of beginners. When she finally found them she learned what to do by watching the other kids, only to have them switch the activity and repeat the process...all lesson long. I am serious, not a single word was said to her for the first 3 lessons. It was not just my child, all beginners were ignored. By the 4th lesson my kid learned what lines to follow but I still caught her and the other young kids wondering where their activity begins. I am not sure if this is common with skate programs. I can only comment on this program. I felt bad for the kids (mine included) who were trying so hard. If they only had someone actually teaching. We paid $290 for 10 weeks (with insurance fee of $40). I hate writing reviews but felt compelled to give info on their program.

First time here and it was a nice big rink and experience with a big group of friends for recreational skating.

A nice place in Markham for skating. My kid is still learning but for not being on the ice ever, I guess she did a fairly well job to go without support on Day 5. Looking forward to more classes. I understand the instructors need to keep children comfortable, but they should try and push them to get out of their comfort zones and confront their fears. The rink could do with larger changing rooms. Parking space is limited too as it's shared between the baseball diamond, the park and the buildings in the vicinity. The place has the old town feel and has some great restaurants and eateries around.

Crosby is a great place for fitness classes. The room is large so there is lots if space between people work8ng out. There is charging station for electric cars now.I like to see the kids walking to the arena to skate

Compare to other modern community center in Markham, Crosby C.C. is older, but it's next to the iconic toogood pound and Unionville village center. So location is the best

Older facility with one rink in the heart of Unionville. Lots of history in this building. Unfortunately there isn't much of a viewing area and the parking gets crazy with the lot being very small and with one entrance.

Super nice and friendly staff. It's located at the heart of the charming historical village of Unionville. Unfortunately, also because of this, parking is often an issue, especially in the warmer months: tourists, users if the baseball diamond, and users of the rink all share the same tiny parking lot. It also barely has any spectator space. For this reason, I give it 3 stars.

My daughter has gone skating here since she was little. Thank you to the amazing couches for keeping them inspired and pushing the boundary. Also thankful that they are strict about vaccines and COVID rules apply here… thank you for keeping us all safe!
