Turner & Pooch Dog Training

Pumpkin, My dog, Pumpkin is a COVID doberman who is reactive to dogs and people. He barked at my neighbors and sometimes escaped out of my backyard to chase my neighbor's dogs. I found Ineke online and drove an hour to meet Ineke for an intial assessment on my dog. After the assessment, I decided to go with six hours of 1-on-1 private lessons. Just after one session, Pumpkin became calmer, and can follow my orders most of time. I still have one more training session left, but the results are way better. It's a day and night difference. Pumpkin now can plays in my backyard (no fence around but hedge trees) off leash without escaping out. I feel more control on Pumpkin. My neighbors who passed by my backyard everyday also noticed the big change on Pumpkin. Never happier for having my Pumpkin now.

Ineke is a awesome trainerWe have only had 2 classes with her and the difference in both of our dogs since starting with her is like night and dayWe now have our 2 dogs on the right path after starting to train with Ineke to being the furry companions we always dreamed of owning !!!!!!

We’re not even finished our sessions yet but we’re so thrilled that we wanted to write a review before we’ve even finished the program!In just 3 sessions we have an improved understanding of dog training, a completely different dog, and a very different relationship with him. Ineke has taught us how to provide boundaries and consequences in a way that we all understand. With Ineke’s help we now have a calm, more confident dog who is a pleasure to walk, live with, and take anywhere we want to go!I would recommend Turner and Pooch to anyone who wants to have an improved and more harmonious relationship with their dog. My Pretty girl Athena at distraction training tonight.When we first arrived, she was shaking she was so excited. Kept whining to go see all the people and other dogs at Rogers cove. Frothing at the mouth out of excitement even!Couldn't seem to settle.Just....hyper.By the time we left, she wasn't reacting to anyone or any dog walking by, she would acknowledge them but stay still. She wasn't as hyper focussed on things.Her ears went down, she was calm, and just enjoying her view.This is my second time coming to Ineke.... because her methods WORK.She knows dogs. She knows what humans need to do to be able to communicate with their pooches.It strengthens the bond. HUGELY.I came back for training because my dog gets overly excited at the sight of any animal or person. It was becoming a problem.Ecollars are NOT cruel. They are humane. They are teaching tool.They WORK.I highly recommend Turner and Pooch.

I am sooo glad I went to Ineke . Tank(110lb german shepherd) and I have gone to 2 other trainers and still had reactive behaviour to other dogs and in only 3 lessons we have already been able to meet and walk/play with other dogs. She took the time to teach both of us how to handle different situation's and am looking forward to our lesson's. I can't say enough GREAT things about Ineke and her training style!My Fiancé and I recently adopted one of our friend’s dogs that he could no longer take care of. Initially, when we brought Diesel (the dog) to our home, he seemed fine. Until you would go to pet him or try to touch him, he would just snap and bite us. As well as he was very reactive on leash, when walking by other people or dogs, or if someone came through the door, he would run up to them and growl.We were shocked, and I immediately searched for a trainer. I was so thankful that Ineke answered my phone call right away. I easily set up my initial training session with her on the website!The first training session was definitely an eye opener and scary at first. Ineke took her time in explaining to us what she was doing and directed us in the right direction. After week 3 of training, I can honestly say I was crying with happy tears! Diesel has transformed into a whole different dog. I would have to say that it's more training us humans on how to react when your dog is doing something unwanted, and to mainly trust your dog. I have learned so much from Ineke and Dante.Now, we can take Diesel to parks and walk him OFF LEASH! Yes, off-leash! With the e-collar training I have learned to trust Diesel a whole lot more, I have grown a bond with him that can't be broken. I feel more confident when having people come over to my home, and it's so freeing to hear wow

My reactive dog was dramatically calmer and less anxious after our time working with Ineke. My dog is so much better on and off leash after our sessions. She boosted my confidence and skills managing his challenging behaviors. My dog loved coming to her classes which were calm and informative.

I highly recommend Turner & Pooch. Some of the issues Ineke helped with were getting my dog to stop pulling on the leash and barking at other dogs while walking, getting my dog to come when I called him and helping him to be much more calm in general. Ineke was very patient with me in answering my many questions and was very accessible for follow-up.

I had a good dog, who was reactive to other dogs on the leash, and had a strong prey drive. Now I have a GREAT dog, and it didn't even take the full 6 sessions. Within 3 weeks, he was perfect off leash and has done wonderfully well with our new kitten, despite his strong prey drive history, and leash reactivity is gone. Next we'll be looking at getting him to become a therapy dog. I love how Ineke is so straightforward, direct, easy to talk to and so supportive. other trainers I had treated my dog like he was aggressive and dangerous, which wasn't the case at all. Ineke's guidance in teaching me to use the e-collar correctly was a total game-changer for life. (Just make sure you do your homework between sessions!)
