River House Vineyard & Winery

We would give it 10 stars if we could. Service amazing, food amazing, wine amazing, building and property amazing. Highly recommend. Please keep up the beyond exceptional service and experience. Can’t wait to go back with friends.

Delicious food, beautiful vineyard, great staff, and amazing drinks. I’m not usually a fan of white wine but the chardonnay was delicious, though, the red wine slushy was the best in my books.

Beautiful Winery and restaurant, just needs salt. The setting of River House Vineyard and Winery is gorgeous, you drive into a treelined laneway that opens up into a beautiful wide-open vineyard and farm setting at right at the top of the hill is an enormous barn with a fantastic outdoor patio in front and through the front window of the barn you can see the lovely stained glass at the back of their indoor dining room and event space. To the left of that is large covered outdoor patio with lots of seating that overlooks a serene river.We started our father's day dinner with a wine tasting flight of four wines, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and a Pinot Noir and we were pleasantly surprised by the Pinot Noir, which was light bodied but had a very nice earthiness to it.We arrived earlier than our reservation and asked to be seated 30 minutes early, and the team was very helpful and thanks to another cancellation they had no issue seating us earlier. We could tell that because they are still new, they were not over-seating the restaurant to make sure they could properly serve everyone on time. The appetizers were lovely and everything was perfectly cooked, we started with the Montreal Smoked Croquettes that were hot and tasty, we also had the potato bravas, fingerling potatoes served in the nicest tomato sauce and aioli. However, I did think we were ordering a different dish since the potatoes were not crispy, as described in the menu, just cooked. But the dish was delicious and I was practically licking my plate, so I was very excited for the main dishes to come...We were a party of three, so we decided to order all three mains on the menu that evening, which stated that they were served with the starch of the day" and vegetables. We were presented with very hearty dishes of Pickerel

Seems like a nice place and the charcuterie was good, but what winery or brewery doesn't allow dogs in the outdoor patio area or have some way to accommodate people who may have a dog (note: service dogs are ok.) And I've been to a lot of such establishments. We were with a group, but if it were just my wife and I we wouldn't have been able to stay with the pooch. Sorry, just don't get it.

Had a wonderful Father's day dinner there this evening . Meagan our server was fabulous. We all had Pickerel for dinner Mmmm!

This is the best winery I’ve ever been to, and that’s saying a lot since I’m from wine country! The wine is so good, the food is amazing and the aesthetic is to die for. The pictures speak for themselves. The owners and staff are beyond accommodating and exceeded any expectations we could have had. The definition of customer service, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. They accommodate all diets with enthusiasm. As a person with a very restricted diet, I’m so grateful for this. I had mentioned that I couldn’t have a sauce because of dairy and they made a new one from scratch that was available the very next day. This place is an absolute gem, if you’re in the area you MUST stop by.

I'm not one for winery's but this place has completely changed my mind.We have already been here a handful of times since they've opened. It's nice to finally have something this close to bobs lake

It is a nice little winery tucked away in the woods. Their wines were good, so was the service. I recommend the flight to start with and a slushy to finish. I plan to return to try the restaurant in the future

Amazing venue with spectacular covered patio overlooking the Tay River. Very much enjoyed my first experience, will be back!
