Sergio is an artist. He and his partner completed three jobs for us refinishing hardwood floors on two levels of our home. The existing floors were twenty-five years old and needed refreshing. They look fantastic now that A Plus Hardwood Flooring did the refinishing work. He installed new hardwood stairs on older builder stairs to the basement making them look brand new. Everything was completed on time and done beautifully. Clean up was done every day and we are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and how professional and meticulous Sergio and A Plus Flooring was. A Plus may take a bit of time to get to your project but you will be very happy with the job done.

After visiting our home and listening to what we wanted done Sergio explained everything about the job. We wanted 2 walnut hardwood floors sanded and refinished. He forwarded us a well laid out contract that gave us the opportunity to chose the options that were discussed during his visit. Sergio and his helper were at our home for 3 days and always arrived on time and ready to work.They were always very professional, respectful and friendly. My wife and I could not have been happier with how they performed their work and with the final results. We highly recommend Sergio and A Plus Flooring.

I can’t express my appreciation enough for the work that was completed on my staircase by Sergio. My old staircase had carpet and he replaced it with beautiful oak hardwood stairs. Sergio went above and beyond to help me with the project. He even added some extras that were not part of the contract but that made a huge difference in the finish product. From the day I contact him, the communication was great and always in a timely manner. He took the time to explain to me in detail the process, and timeline for the project. Every night after he was done for the day, he would make sure the area was clean and tidy. The quality of his work is flawless and his work ethic is to a high standard. We had contemplated replacing the large prominent carpeted stairs in our home with a hardwood staircase for a number of years. The staircase is visible immediately upon entering the front door and so we wanted it to be a real showpiece. Having read the very positive reviews regarding A Plus Flooring, we signed a contract with Sergio, the owner, and could not be happier with our decision. Sergio is a true craftsman. Sergio and his crew installed new hardwood flooring in our whole second floor (4 bedrooms and a hallway) and also re-did our curved staircase with oak treads and painted risers. All of this was carpeted before and the transformation is amazing. In a nutshell, Sergio is a craftsman -- he is skilled, meticulous and proud of his work. As an example, he took two days to carefully and perfectly match each individual floorboard in the upstairs landing to the curved base of the railing. He prepared the stair treads in advance in his shop to keep the installation time to a minimum and he kept us very well informed about the options and the progress. Highly recommended!

Sergio recently re-sanded and stained a staircase in our house that had been quite scratched through wear and tear. He was prompt in responding to my initial enquires and his quote for the work was clear and very competitive. He spent several days at our house and took care to ensure the dust from the sanding did not spread throughout the house by placing plastic wrapping along the walls and at the top of the stairwell. Sergio is very respectful and a true professional. He is also a very pleasant man to work with. I would highly recommend Sergio’s work to anyone looking to have their floors refinished! You are not going to find a better hardwood contractor than Sergio in Ottawa! He is absolutely the best - he will treat your house and your investment like his own. Extremely professional, detailed-oriented, super patient and personable, Sergio was amazing to work with. He carefully explained all our options, educated us on all the cost-benefit tradeoffs for each option, detailed every choice with the associated cost in his quote, gave us a lot of flexibility and much-appreciated guidance when making our design choices and executed the project impeccably. He thoroughly cleaned his workspace each and every day, accommodated us in scheduling his time when we had another contractor doing bathroom work, and communicated with us at every step of the way. We considered ourselves very lucky to have found him.
