Olympic View Golf Club

Too bad this course is plagued with extremely slow pace. The first time happened last fall, so we thought it was a one off, then today it was confirmed. SLOW!The pace of play, started out fine up until the 4th hole where suddenly we started waiting longer ( started around 5 mins). Then by the middle of the course it was so backed up and the Marshall only said “ it’s Saturday what do you expect”. We were not impressed with that attitude. We waited over 12-15 mins on holes 15,16,17,18 before we could tee off. We aren’t speedy golfers but it should never add over an hour to your play time because the Marshall can’t do their job. He even mentioned there was an empty hole and then 3 groups on 1 hole trying to just keep some sort of momentum. Perhaps ask the front slow group to move to the empty hole to allow pace to recover! Why should others suffer for group! When it costs $250 to golf hereLastly, dress code has gone down hill. Men in cut off tank tops, no collared sport shirts on most people, and saw someone wearing jeans!If this course just worked on their pace of place and actually enforced it that would improve the experience greatly.- A disappointed island golfer

Fantastic course in suburban Victoria. First class service, pro shop and course. Greens and fairways are in great condition. Great course to walk and enjoy the scenery. Our after round beer and burger was excellent. The porches over looking the course are super nice, especially on a sunny and warm day that we enjoyed.

Went to table 19 and what a treat. We had the surf and turf and it was amazing, best steak and prawns I have had in a long time. Prices were reasonable, service was excellent. We even had cheesecake for desert it finished off a perfect meal. Will highly recommend

Yummm...best burger! Three Napkin Deluxe Burger with aged cheddar, balsamic onion jam, house smoked bacon, LTOP & T19 sauce. Outstanding customer service. They serve a great cup of coffee as well!

Staff/starter are nice but the course really is bare bones. No ball washers, nowhere to sit on most holes, no snack cart service, snack shack after 9 was closed. Could not even get a drink of water anywhere on the course or even after 9 holes unless I paid $3.50 for a bottle of water. No complimentary balls with green fee but there was at least free parking. Greens were inconsistent and many of the fairways were like hitting a bunker shot because there is so much sand in places that have been damaged that you have to pick the ball clean....take any divot and the ball only goes 70 yards. OV has sure gone down hill from the glory days!

A great golf course. Beautiful fairways, greens are firm and in great condition. Play positional off the tee rather than long drives. I think I only hit driver 2-3 times. Most of the time 3-wood or hybrid was just right. The only improvement I would suggest is more signage. From the cart pickup location, there’s no signs directing you up to the parking lot so you can pick up your clubs so we drive around a bit. Also there’s no signs directing you from the green to the next tee. No problems most of the time, but there was a par 3 we drove right by the tee-box as we only saw a small sign further up directing carts to drive right up to the green. We were looking at the sign further up on the right, so totally missed the tee-box on the left lol. Didn’t really mind, but it took us 10 mins to figure out and so of course the group behind us had to wait. We mentioned it to one of the staff, but he said minimal signage is intentional as they wanted the course to blend in with nature. I think there’s a balance to be made here as newcomers to the course will find more signage more helpful and speed them up navigating the course.Will definitely be back for more rounds here

Golf Vancouver Island hosted our Annual General Meeting at Olympic View and everything was fantastic. The large meeting room with spectacular view overlooking the golf course is perfect. The food was super tasty and Katrina, our event organizer, was a pleasure to work with. A great place for golf, and a great place to hold a meeting.

We got married at Olympic View Golf Course a couple weeks ago and would like to hugely thank Katrina, Kelsey, and all the staff for making it the most memorable day in our lives. They were all so present, professional, and went above and beyond. The venue was absolutely stunning. They ran everything so smoothly we didn’t need to worry about a single thing they handled it all. We couldn’t have asked for a better place ! We would 10/10 recommend to any couple looking for a beautiful venue !

My Daughter and I attended a Wedding reception this afternoon.The drive to the Olympic View Golf Club is scenic, there are lots of parking spaces and the building is beautifully positioned in the trees.We stopped in Table 19 first as we were early.The views are spectacular.We both had white wine and shared Calamari.So tasty.Our server was delightful.In the Olympic Room, the food was well presented and tasty.I can highly recommend visiting the Golf Club.

I have worked at this venue and been a guest at events here over the years and it is fabulous! They've undergone a renovation and it looks beautiful inside and out. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Katrina is so easy to work with and makes our job easy when we are there. I would highly recommend hosting an event here, their rates are competitive and the view is amazing. Not to mention how delicious the food and restaurant is. Special shout out to Glen who is the most helpful staff member I've come across. 5 stars!!
