A nice little store with great selection and very helpful staff. It's got less than Bulk Barn, but is better organized and what they do have seems to be nicer.It is very cramped inside, though, and I'm not sure if the space devoted to pots and pans wouldn't be better-used for more items.

My favourite bulk and health food store in Peterborough, great owners and helpful staff! I enjoy the student discount days and the wide variety of bulk foods offered.I also head to The Main Ingredient for any vegan specialty products as they have a wider selection than some of the downtown grocery stores.There is a vast amount of spices offered here as well as a great tea selection. Everything has been great in quality and freshness.

This place has a ton of bulk ingredients and foods. Their kitchen ware seems to be well selected with quality and usefulness in mind. The staff are always helpful and friendly from my experience. I think this place could use some extra space, air conditioning, and larger labels and signs. Don't get me wrong though. It's the best bulk food store I've ever been in.

Great store. Good service by friendly and helpful staff. Wide variety of goods given the small space of the store. Some items seem to be over-priced. No required masking to protect staff and customers. Overall, a good place to shop.

Since opening my Cafe this summer, Ken (owner), Pat, and the rest of the Main Ingredient staff have helped me out so much! I know when call and ask about special ordering spices or bulk grains/seeds, they can get it for me at a great price! A wealth of knowledge and amazingly friendly staff! I recommend them as the best place for bulk and health foods in Peterborough!

Great little shop, wonderful staff, good prices and a seniors discount on Tuesday. I find more and more items I can buy here rather than the grocery store. Wonderful when you only want a little bit of something and I use mason jars at home for storage.

only place around town you can scare up some blackroot for the baby. great sales and I don't think anything I've wanted has ever been out of stock except the amazing smoky adobo when NAFTA was breaking down for a bit there, lol. bless.
