We had a reservation for 11 :15 am..was almost an hour before our meals were delivered. The food was good but $42 for a burger,sweet potato fries ,dip,and a lemonade I felt was outrageous..it stated on the menu that if you asked for sweet potato fries additional cost was $5 .. ok but I was charged $9.95 . .I was in a hurry and didn't have time to peruse the bill , when I posted on their site my review it was deleted ...CHECK YOUR BILL B4 YOU LEAVE !!I contacted Sylvia and was advised that there was a technical issue with their system that day and she apologized for the errors..I appreciated the acknowledgement and the apology and I do understand stuff happens so that is why I adjusted my rating

My family eats here probably weekly (mainly takeout but the atmosphere of the restaurant itself is lovely too - we just have a baby and toddler so eating out is difficult). I have celiac and their gluten-free options are great and I've never gotten sick from cross-contamination. The Susstown burger is my go-to.For those who enjoy a drink, the patio of Ale Works nextdoor is the perfect accompaniment - you can sit there and call in a takeout order.

Ups and downs for us! We were looking for lunch while passing through Sussex. Spotted this place, when you walk in it looks very cafe like so I anticipated that style but it was a touch more formal.We were seated with our menus and then waited about 15 minutes for anyone to come back. It was a little weird, eventually a different server altogether came to take our order without a word on the wait.Ordered the Susstown Burger and Hot Chicken Sandwich. I upgraded the fries to sweet potato fries. Tried to get Sussex Ginger ale but they were sold out.The food was delicious. The burger was really so good, I loved the bun. It was good until the last bite. The dipping sauce offered with the sweet potato fries was also really good.The hot chicken sandwich was also good- fries were great. Well seasoned. Definitely couldn't finish the huge portion it came with. The slaw wasn't great- It just tasted like cumin.When it came to billing, it was mostly good. I was surprised to see the chipotle mayo for the sweet potato fries was $1.75. When I ordered them she just asked if I wanted that for the dipping sauce and I said yes. My totally for burger, SP fries and sauce was $24. It was good, but maybe not that good.From being seated to getting food was 40 minutes- so the last note is that I wouldn't suggest it as a quick bite.

Great place to go to eat. Food is fantastic, the servers are very sweet. The atmosphere is so great and unique. Would highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat if you're in the area!

Wonderful cafe/restaurant. Everything we ate was excellent, and they also easily handled my gluten free requirements. Fries were made fresh, and not a bit greasy. We would definitely stop here again if we were in the area.

Wonderful spot! Worth getting there early for fresh, warm muffins. Potatoes with stuffing and gravy for breakfast: perfect! Next visit it’s sticky buns or lemon loaf.

My 2 friends and I visited for the first time. We each got something different. I ordered the BBQ chicken and pickle on a Kaiser. I personally think a different bun would be better, my bun got too soggy.The dessert though, was absolutely fantastic. We each ordered a frozen lemon square. It was refreshing, light and just the right amount of lemon.

We just moved to Sussex and have eaten here 3 times already. The food is extremely good, my husband will get a different meal each visit but I absolutely love the crispy chicken salad. Will try to get something different next time. You want friendly service and delicious food you need to visit this place!
