don’t let the run down and simple ness of this roadside smokehouse discourage you! The burger was amazing, we were so hungry after a weekend of camping we didn’t even took pictures of the burger. But totally worth the visit. From our experience a one woman operation and she’s doing an amazing job!Cute pup also comes to say hi. Huge bonus.

We’ve been looking for a good food truck in the area for a few years after our favourite left the area. We are so happy that we don’t need to look any longer, as the Hot Rod Smoke House is as good if not better than our old favourite. We were welcomed by the owners John and Evelyn who went above and beyond, and are so incredibly kind and friendly. We got the Three Cheese Poutine, the Cheeseburger, and the Hot Azz Burger with Brisket added. The poutine had perfect fries, the cheeseburger is the perfect smash burger and customizable to your tastes, and Evelyn went above and beyond with the Hot Azz with Brisket added. I can’t wait to go again to try their BBQ (but I will be tempted to get the burger every time)

Great poutine and huge servings. The two of us could have shared one. I'm glad there is a place near Bon Echo that serves good food. I wish Evenly's spring rolls were available, but I will be heading back there next time I am in the area to have some. We loved hanging with the dog Sadie as well.

Saw the sign to Smokehouse and BBQ and was intrigued. I ordered the brisket poutine and...WOW this tasted amazing. Evelyn smokes her own meat and it shows the love she puts into her menu. The brisket was perfectly smoked and was tender and tasted amazing. My only regret was I wasn't there when the full dinner menu was available as I would of loved to try that. 10/10 poutine. A must try if you are in the area. Would definitely have again.

Homemade Filipino food and delicious brisket.We arrived at 6:30 and Evelyn just brought out her homemade chicken curry. The green beans were picked from their garden hours ago. They made us sweet potato fries too; sliced it fresh before our eyes.Very friendly and socialable owner.Cash only, small change is helpful.There are 2-3 picnic tables outside.

The Hidden Gem is what I would call this place. The food truck is in their yard so don't get deterred by this. Try the food and I will guarantee you will not be disappointed. The smoke brisket is absolutely amazing!! You will also be greeted by the very friendly owner by the name of Evelyn who knows her way around a smoke house.

Smoke is not too heavy, sugar is nice and light, tenderness is 5 star. Good amount of meat for the price. Haven’t tried all the other meals yet but surely something to please everyone (eggrolls and fries! Sweet & Sour chicken on rice! Curry dinner. Triple burgers w bacon and cheese! NOTE this is not in the Mazinaw Inn, But down the road/behind it!OMG not a poutine person but the homemade fries were delish- and that sumptuous meat yum!!Come hungry with the whole gang! There are picnic tables to eat at!!

Great food!! Absolutely delicious, and worth the wait. Evelyn and John pour their heart and soul into making every meal delicious. We were camping nearby and came back twice in a week just for the brisket!! So good! Don’t be surprised if the owners and their pets come out and chat with you. Generous, kind people who know how to make a mean poutine. Enjoy - you’ll love it.

Fantastic, tender brisket with an incredibly complimentary BBQ sauce. Sides of potato salad, cold BBQ beans, and coleslaw were fantastic also. While we were waiting for our food, we got a free serving of their pulled pork that just came out of the smoker. It was divine!Would highly recommend! Be sure to bring cash as there's no debit or credit.

Great smoke house with amazing brisket dinners. Highly recommend the brisket burger and poutine. If you get the dinner options, it comes with homemade beans and potato salad. I spoke with the owner and John is such an awesome dude. He has so many plans for the smoke house and shows so much genuine enthusiasm for this food and his passions.
