Awesome Bike shop, staff is the bees knees! Had my 13 year old cruiser fixed up from here, it runs so well now, should have done that years ago. Went back the next day and then bought a brand new bike!! I wanted an all around hybrid bike that I could ride around the city with, and didn't weigh 1000lbs. So many amazing things in store its hard not spending all the money.(Note, when you buy your new bike, you get 20% off all other accessories you purchase that day) Since I was used to riding a luxury seat on my cruiser, the new bike seat wasn't as ideal. They have this pretty cool bike seat you can buy that measure your sit bone distance for the perfect seat. Best upgrade I made, My A** is happier. Such a great vibe in there, I think ill just go back for beer.

I'm not going to lie I was stopping by to grab a coffee before heading to another bike shop to test ride a couple models as they opened an hour later. Once I walked in I was greated by Sara at the coffee counter. She was very friendly and encouraged my caffeine addiction (the mocha was great and not too sweet). She then inquired if I needed any help looking for anything on the other side. We walked around the shop and talked about what I was looking for and what I wanted out of a mountain bike. I was shown a few different models and she made sure I took a seat to properly size me up. In no time she had me out test riding a LG framed Kona, while at the same time prepping an XL version for me to test after. The area is great for this, and you'll find a bunch of hills and pathways to cut your teeth on. The XL was definitely the right choice... I should have just trusted her and the other employee (I never got his name, one of the mechanic I think) from the get go!When I returned to the shop I had another talk with Sara and other employee. We went over the test rides and how I felt. They asked me a bunch of follow up questions to make sure that binge was the right fit. I knew at this point I didn't need to look anywhere else. They found me exactly what I was looking for, didn't pressure me, and treated me as welcomed guest. Their prices were fair, and they also provide a first service free with the purchase of a bike. I was also given a 20% off accessories for the day of the purchase, another sweet surprise (to me and my wallet haha)!I returned the next morning to pick up my new addition, was greated by Sara again (along with some Java) and we picked out the accessories I wanted to add. Again there was no pressure or judgement for my rookie questions. I decided to get a dropper post installed as it was the only thing lacking in the initial build. I was told it could take 40 mins (was actually about 30 at most). They were done before I finished my coffee. It also gave me some time to chat with one of the owners (Wes I believe). He thanked me for purchasing a bike from them and made some suggestions for a hitch mount for my Rubicon. Very friendly guy and again very welcoming. If you are in the market for a new bike or even just a cup of java, please do yourself a favor and stop by this little shop. I can not recommend them enough. Thanks for all the help, I'll be back soon.

Best LBS in Calgary! Wes and the team were so helpful with selecting and fitting our new Marin bikes! We live in the SW and pass by many bike shops on the way to Bike & Brew, but it’s well worth it to be treated like you’re part of the crew and not just another sale!! Thanks guys!!

Yet another great experience at Bike and Brew. The employees are very friendly and happy to explain and show you what and why your bike needs a repair or service. When i came in to the shop i was sure i had and issues and just wanted the part replaced, instead of replacing it and giving it back the they diagnosed the real issue saving me time and money. The team made recommendations to save me some money and were able to get my bike in much sooner than any other shop in town. Even if they could not get me in as soon as they did the wait is easily worth the great experience. Thanks Bike and Brew!

Bought a bike from them and the entire experience was really disappointing. I'm not sure if it was because there was a bike shortage at the time so they just wanted to make an easy sale, but when I went to pick up my bike and get it sized, the associate was extremely disinterested in helping me and after waiting in the store for 20 minutes, he spent all of 5 minutes fitting me to my bike and adjusting it. I couldn't figure out why I had horrible back/ shoulder pain after riding my bike for the first time until one of my friends showed me that not only was it adjusted incorrectly, the bike frame itself was way too big for me. Wasted $1000 and even though I think I'm partially to blame for not doing more research going into it, I really wish the store associates had been more helpful and cared about the obviously awful fit I was getting instead of just looking to make a quick sale.

Bike and Brew is an awesome, local bike shop! I stopped by to get an adjustment done, ...while waiting, I had a sandwich and a coffee, which were both fantastic! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a good bike shop, with fantastic, friendly staff, to go here! This is now my go-to for anything bike related (including coffee and a sandwich)! Cheers

This bike shop is my favourite in the city!!! I live up in Renfrew, however I grew up in Varsity and have frequented many bike shops across the city, and now I have the best; just down the hill.I recently decided to sell a carbon-fibre frame road bike that I had barely ridden so I took it in to ask their advice on the bicycle. I needed to know the specs, model, value and all the things that make it awesome. Not only did they give me all the answers, they did a little research, checked the bike out and said the potential buyer could bring it in for quality assurance. I was floored. They go above and beyond!Best crew in town. Great cookies. Good benches in the sun for a coffee. A dreamy space with great people.

I took my bike to Bike and Brew on Saturday afternoon to get the back brake pads replaced. They had room for me right away. They noticed that my cables might be sticky and said they could fix that too; bike would be ready in 20 min. Riding home, it felt like I was riding a new bike; pedalling and gear changes feel smoother too. They definitely took a lot of care to make sure my bike works great; more than I expected. Great experience!

I ain't gonna lieBike and Brew is mad flyAnd their coffee, oh my!It'll bring a tear to your eye (for all the right reasons!)This place has become an institution for me 'cause it has it all: incredible bikes, the beast gear, the tastiest coffee in YYC and overall great vibes. As for the crew, they're the beating heart of the store. A lot of skill, knowledge, great advice and friendly humans under a single roof!
