York Region Children's Aid Society

They work to keep children unsafe and families ripped apart by:1. Keeping children with an abuser2. Lying through their teeth

I have nothing positive to write or say about the York Region Children's Aid Society but I do support the Ontario Government's Operational Review of this nonprofit organization announced on July 31, 2020. Although the details are limited at this time, I am happy that the government has ordered this society to cease working and hand over all documents with the communication's firm they hired last spring. It is deeply troubling that the York Region Children's Aid Society used funding meant for children/families to hire a Communication firm to do crisis control for their mistreatment of staff and the children/families they are mandated to protect. A retainer for these communication firms are anywhere from $2000 to $20,000 a month. I hope this Operational Review finally brings the truth to the public at what a disgrace this nonprofit organization is and close it down.

Nothing to do here with kids. Toys are dirty and nothing is a full set not even the board games. Rooms are never cleaned before next visit. Very unorganized sheduling rith rides and access workers supervising visits. Very intrusive and undermining. If thry have something tobsay they should save it for when the child has left.

Good to know Carolina zachemsk sucks at her job and let's a absolute drugy of a woman keep her kids in someone else's apartment while she runs around

Most disorganized and uninformed agency I have ever dealt with. They put on a supportive face but they have their own secret agenda by keeping kids from being with birth parents. They think they are doing an awesome job when in fact they are overworked and slow at responding to family needs.

This agency lies and misleads children and parents! They pretend to play nice but they have their own agenda! Their outcome traumatizes children and parents! Disgusting!!! I don't know how any of them can sleep at night! They are supposed to protect children and they intentionally do the opposite!! Stay clear!!!!!

Good for nothing low life's who have nothing better to do then lie and make false accusations and rip families apart. They look the other way at parents who actually abuse their children and go after the parents that have done nothing wrong. All of them are two faced garbage people who are to stupid to actually do good in the community.

Honestly i cant say anything good.. after you turn 18 they dont care about you. Ive been promised my montly allowance two days ago. Ive been calling all day and no one will answer or call back. I am now stuck in another country untill they decide to pay me.

They are very disrispectful to people that are trying to help them selves for there children

A highly intrusive child welfare organization with a focus on risk. Staff carry high caseloads and are under immense pressure. Management focuses on their statistics and issues around liability over client service. I would go so far as to recommend moving out of the region if you anticipate any involvement with them. If you stay, anticipate a likelihood of court involvement and having a file open with them for years. The good news is not all CAS' practice the same, the smaller agencies tend to be more supportive. :)
