Zoltan is so skilled and kind. He cares for our rescue dog Judy deeply, helping her socialize with other dogs and work through her fears to live a fuller, happier, and more exciting life. Zoltan always takes the time to show us important positive reinforcement techniques to use with Judy. He uses walks as enrichment opportunities, even sometimes buying Judy toys to encourage her to expand her comfort zone. We've noticed great changes in Judy since she's met Zoltan and it's been beautiful to see how completely she loves and trusts him.When we hired East End Canines we thought we were hiring them to help with dog walking. What we didn't know is that they would totally expand our dog's world.

Zoli started walking my aging Greyhound last fall. He was always reliable and dependable. Later when my sweet boy became ill, Zoli was very helpful and considerate. My dog Beluga adored Zoli and he could not have been in better hands. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

My spouse and I adopted a pair of rescue dogs in August 2021. We’d thought carefully about it and done a lot of research before we took the plunge, but it became immediately obvious that we didn’t really know what we were doing. Ruby and Zeus were very sweet with us and great around the house, but they were pretty reactive to the outside world and had no idea how to walk on a leash.I don’t know what we would’ve done if we hadn’t found Zoli. He came over and immediately we felt more in control of things. Zoli’s knowledge and boundless passion for training and understanding dog behaviour are informed by a deep care and empathy for the pets themselves. I feel like he’s done as much to help us as owners as he’s achieved with our dogs, which is to say a lot. It’s kind of miraculous how far these two have come in only five months, they’ve gone from being total chaos on the sidewalk to well behaved walkers, and they’re adjusting to busier and busier settings all the time.I find it hard to picture someone who’s more invested in a dog’s overall welfare and happiness in your home than Zoli. The dogs’ health, the best equipment for them, you name it, Zoli’s been ready with fantastic advice and guidance. When one of our dogs’ fearfulness proved itself to need more specialized attention he was ready to integrate a premiere behaviourist into what we’ve been doing.Zoli feels like the safety net that’s ensured we’ve transitioned our dogs successfully into our home and got our lives together started on a great track. You can’t fake the kind of sincerity he just overflows with.

We've been working with Zoli for about a year now & absolutely love him & his team! More importantly my dog loves him (cue epic tag wagging as soon as she sees him).He's been so communicative, flexible and quick to respond, & my dog always comes home tuckered. Zoltan has been working with me for a couple of months through a mentorship program for new dog walkers. I am very particular with who I mentor and Zoltan’s professionalism, enthusiasm and obvious love of dogs won me over. In addition, his own dog is a beautifully trained and well adjusted pup. Zoltan is very experienced with positive reinforcement training and treats every dog with kindness and love. All our dogs adore him and are excited to see him, whenever he joins for the day. I wouldn’t trust many with my clients, but I would definitely leave my dogs in his capable hands and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy and competent dog walker. If you want someone who will treat your dog as their own, Zoltan is your man!

My dog Lucky has been walked by East End Canines for about a year. Before that, he was a bit shy and very nervous around other dogs. East End Canines have helped him as he is now so much more confident and a lot more comfortable around other dogs. He is also a lot better on walks - pulls a lot less and is happy to walk for longer periods of time. Overall 10/10, would recommend!

We lucked out finding East End Canines! Our pup Sadie looks for for Zoli or Ash and bolts to the door when they arrive. She is always happily tuckered out after her walks. Our dog needs some special attention, so we needed to make sure the people looking after her were prepared. We have complete faith in the team. They keep us updated after walks and communicate about anything we should be aware of. They genuinely love these dogs.

We love Zoli and our two dogs are definitely East End Canines now! We can’t recommend him highly enough as a dog walker and as an in-home pet sitter.We first found Zoli when we were looking for a dog walker to help us manage the insatiable energy and enthusiasm of our then ten month old Aussie-golden retriever puppy, Arlo. He was getting into bad habits around pulling on the leash and we thought that group walks might help him learn leash manners and give us a break from puppy antics some weekday afternoons when we had to work. Fast forward six months, and today I took the same dog on a walk where he maintained a loose leash, obediently responded to “leave it” when he found something gross that he thought might be food, and stayed “with me” and maintained eye contact and attention at several tricky moments navigating the neighborhood. We do a lot with this guy, but we never would have made it to this point without Zoli. Arlo adores him and runs to the door to greet him.When we went out of town recently, we entrusted both Arlo and our beloved elderly (and now diabetic) terrier to Zoli’s care. He did a great job, and we were able to relax on our trip, knowing that both dogs were cared for. There was a time when we thought we would never be able to leave our diabetic dog with anyone, but we were so happy to leave them with Zoli, and we returned to very happy pets and the house just as we’d left it.Both dogs adore him, but most importantly Zoli is an excellent communicator with humans, so we always know what’s going on and what to expect. We get a photo update from every walk, and clear, kind, professional messages. And my partner tells me that his website and payment system are a dream to navigate.We’ve learned a lot from Zoli about how to train our puppy. He doesn’t just walk him, but really works with him.Two paws up for East End Canines!!

I’m someone that’s super picky when it comes dog care. Trusting in someone that understands my dog, her needs, her struggles, and wanting to enjoy her too! I found all these things and more with Zoltan. From our meet and greet alone I knew our dog was in good hands. Zoltan’s passion for dogs alone is a true representation of his passion for taking care of your dog. We are so lucky to have found him. There’s no price knowing that Moira is in good hands. East End Canines were amazing with my senior dog. Zoli and Ash were great at dealing with Pepper’s stubbornness, her aversion to the rain and later her dementia and her arthritic hips. They truly love the animals they care for and go above and beyond to provide comfort. I highly recommend East End Canine!
