Paul and Adam did a great job modifying an existing vintage dining room table to be repurposed as a desk. Paul responded quickly to my request and was able to fit in the project between his already scheduled work. They took great care to make sure the desk would be both functional and attractive. I am very pleased with the result!

I have known Paul Denys for almost 30 years. He has performed a range of renovations and repairs on my homes during that time. Paul is always professional, courteous, and patient. We contacted Paul in November 2020 to discuss renovating the kitchen in our 1933 semi-detached house, and to help stop some air leakage from the original wood windows. Paul was very responsive and worked with us to ensure the design of the kitchen reflected our ideas and tastes, gently sharing his expertise and pushing back when necessary. The kitchen renovation was completed in spring 2022 after various pandemic delays. Paul walked us through the process, updating us daily with the work to be completed that day, and ensuring the decisions we were making were what we wanted. His attention to detail was impressive. Paul and Adam were always prompt and left the site clean and tidy at the end of the day. We are thrilled with the results and would recommend him wholeheartedly.

We were very pleased with Paul's work on our home. He has an excellent eye for detail and shared a great wealth of information with us about our house, which we continue to find extremely useful as first-time homeowners. Paul worked with us to make sure we could maintain/restore as many original elements of the house as possible - including sourcing a matching set of antique heat vent covers that we love. Paul and his team were absolutely fantastic to work with during a major renovation of our kitchen and bathrooms. I really appreciated dealing with Paul due to his extensive knowledge of design/aesthetics in addition to the incredible body of knowledge and hands-on experience in construction. I truly believe this is why our project and work was so successful. I should also mention that Paul was one of the few people in the industry who really understands older homes, older spaces, and doing more with less. We have hired Denys Builds Designs to work on numerous projects over the last 7 years. Whether it was to rebuild the front porch of our 110-year-old house, design and build the perfect pantry for our kitchen, or more recently last summer build a new deck for our backyard, just to name a few projects, we were always completely satisfied. For this last project (the deck), we started the process with some ideas that we brought to Paul who would have nice ideas to improve the design and suggestions for the best material and techniques to use. The craftmanship of Paul and Adam is impeccable. Paul is also very knowledgeable about building science, it is very pleasant to discuss with him.

In recent years Paul put in a new bathroom in our basement. It was well designed for a tight space and continues to demonstrate Paul's quality advice, design and workmanship. He has just done repair work on our other bathroom and again he gets in and makes things right with his experience and solutions.

Quality ExcellentWe hired Denys Builds Designs to renovate our 100 year old windows, and the final result exceeded our expectations. We chose Paul for his experience and enthusiasm, which we didn't find elsewhere. In the end, windows we thought might not be salvageable, were perfectly fine once restored. They function like new. And Paul sourced fantastic storms which do not require a ladder to change. And the cost of the work equaled quotes we had for new replacement wooden windows. We were so happy with the work, we had Paul and his team continue on the re-painting of the house exterior, which was to be done by another contractor. But our confidence in Paul's experience and knowledge in restoring heritage homes made this an easy decision. And we were very happy with the end result.
