While traveling, we shopped here recently because a nearby, large chain store was focused on promoting LGBQTP+ flags over their assited checkout lanes rather than well stocked food items. For example, the 1st store had ZERO Truvia sweetners in 680 gram size, but Safeway had multiple versions. We bought several items there & were very impressed with the focus on quality, store arrangement, and selection options. Thanks, Safeway!

Safeway in Penticton needs to take a lesson from this location. This store is always so full of great product and produce. My fiancée needs gluten and dairy free products and the section in this store is huge.

June 2023, not much has changed. Safeway loses a star every year. Some staff are awesome, most are not. Expensive compared to other grocery stores, if you can find a price tag. Easy to access location. Produce can be great, most often not. Meat department pricing is not consistent day to day. Pharmacy is great, staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Clean bathrooms.

Well lets see, i went in around 7pm and found everything i needed easily but i was feelin a little hungry so they usually have a great selection of hot food to go. So i meandered over that direction to my surprise they were removing all the hot food, i was like they close at 10 pm why are they takin it all away??? Anyway no hot food for me. The staff was really nice too

I usually enjoy using self checkouts, but the tills at the self checkouts here run quite slow, and I can’t scan my points card at it, like I can with a cashier.

They have wide variety of fresh produce with reasonable prices.You can find any kind of cheese that is my favorite part.Also fruit, bread and meat’s products are so tempting.

It's a decent location for my needs. Tills are usually quick. I do find selection to be limited to popular items only and the stock levels in the shelf are low on many items, especially iced tea and dog food. Bring your own bags or be willing to pay. The good parking stalls are always full, but the side of the lot has open stalls if you don't mind a few extra steps. Most handy feature is they stay open until 11 at night, and that's mostly why I go there.
