We used the sleep training services of Thornhill Doulas when our child reached 5 months. The most important thing we gained from our time with Petra is confidence; we now are confident and experienced enough to know that even when our child has a disruption to the routine (special excursion, time with family), we can, and have, re-establish routine with almost zero delays or setbacks. Our child responds very well to the training and we have had a literal world of difference in all of our sleep routines.If you are on the fence between searching online or getting help from Thornhill Doulas, the services are absolutely worth it. Books and videos will never substitute for the amount of 1-to-1, personalized support that we received. We are incredibly grateful for all the tips and skills we learned.

This was our second time using Thornhill Doulas for postpartum support and sleep consulting. We cannot begin to describe how amazing Petra and Kim were. They were so accommodating and made us feel comfortable and safe as we transitioned from one child to two. Petra also supported us with getting our little guy comfortable in his sleep space.

I hired Andrea as a post partum doula because she came across as very caring and experienced in the Zoom interview. She also has her lactation certification and I anticipated needing support with breastfeeding. She checked in with me frequently via text even before she started. When she came to my home after we were discharged from the hospital her experience, knowledge, caring nature and professionalism were obvious. She jumped in right away to help and shared so many practical tips for breastfeeding and baby care which I was able to implement right away. Her support and encouragement were invaluable to get myself and baby off to a healthy start at home. I also appreciated that she keeps herself updated with the latest research and evidence to support her practice. This was my second baby and I wish I had hired a doula like Andrea for my first baby.

We were extremely happy with the excellent support we received from Thornhill doulas after my c-section. The service was amazing and so helpful, I can't emphasize it enough. The doulas were knowledgeable, reliable and extremely caring. Petra and Andrea were outstanding and I was especially impressed with Petra's knowledge about infant sleep and the way she operates her business with integrity. Andrea even gave me foot massage when I was in the hospital without me even asking and she had a a lot of energy and desire to help whichever way she could which I really appreciated, especially during the first eight weeks when I was recovering.

I managed to find Thornhill Doulas while desperately searching the net for postpartum help before I gave birth. My husband and I moved to Toronto a couples years ago and left all our family behind in Trinidad. So help was desperately needed. From the initial contact with Suyin my mind was set at ease. I knew this would be a great fit for my growing family.Suyin put me in contact with Marcia who would eventually become our Doula and care for my son. The experience was exceptional. Marcia not only provided care for my son but she was also a safe space for me during my postpartum phase. She came with lots of knowledge on a whole host of topics and let me tell you, as a first time mom this was super helpful and reassuring.Not only did Thornhill Doulas provide me with care but they even helped me find someone to perform weekly in home cleaning!
