Food is so delicious and the cook is too chill. Just just felt happy to be in a store like this. The portions are very big and price is affordable.

I have purchased meals from this take out spot for the last 10 years. The food quality is good and the portions are decent. The prices are out of control especially for a takeout spot. At the current prices being charged at this place, you can get table service at nearby places and the same portions of food.

Straightforward menu with portions of consistently delicious food at extremely reasonable prices!The jerk chicken is my favourite in the city, always falling off the bone tender, served with rice and peas that has just the right amount of heat for me.Rich flavourful gravy. Owner is very kind and friendly in a laid back way.Love Steady’s!

We went there for the first time recently for jerk and stew chicken. It was delicious! The chef took great care in ensuring we had a balance of sauce, rice, chicken, vegetables in our takeout container.

We got one of everything on the menu after walking by Steady’s since we moved to the area a couple of months ago… I wish we didn’t wait so long! Everything was beyond. The jerk chicken is an incredible balance of sweet, spicy perfection. The stew chicken is a flavour explosion… the soup special was soul warming. This kind of food could only come from a place of love and that’s what you feel as soon as you walk in. The owner is so kind and warm and his personality reflects directly to his outstanding food. Big respect!

I tried their jerk chicken, rice, and coleslaw. The flavors were very bland and did not taste anything like the other jerk chicken I’ve eaten. This was more on the sweeter side.Overall, there are definitely better Jamaican restaurants around with fairer prices and portions.

The food here at Steady's was delicious and served a generous amount. I ordered 2 small meals (jerk chicken and curry goat) and a drink that came up to $30!! I also gave a tip and no thank you! As I entered the man working behind the counter did not even greet me, no friendly smile and looked so serious, he was also very slow in serving the food. Customer service and a friendly smile would not hurt especially when you're running a business! He offers limited menu items and they all come with rice and peas and a small coleslaw! They should have variety because not everyone eats rice! More disappointed with the service received than the food. The food does taste better than most Caribbean establishments I've been too. Not sure if I would return but if you're in the area give it a try!

Absolutely incredible service. Steady is hilarious and kind, ready to brighten your day. Usually when they’re too awesome I get skeptical about the food so when I bit into juicy, very recently grilled jerk chicken and delicious rice w/ oxtail gravy I couldn’t stop eating. Ended up having too much and didn’t have any leftovers which I usually do for other Jerk spots. Will def be returning !
