We roast high quality coffee in small batches on restored antique roasters that are between 80 and 100 years old. All coffees are expertly developed with traditional European roasting techniques. Buy 5 lb bags of fresh roasted coffee, direct from the roaster.

It's hard to pick my favourite NS coffee roastery, but this is definitely one of them. Oh, North Mountain, you are probably the cosiest coffee shop in existence, and your product is so fine. Don't stop doing what you're doing! Everyone else, go there, you'll be glad you did.

Hands down the best coffee I've ever had- not to mention the welcoming and cozy atmosphere of the cafe! Visited from Ontario 3 years ago and still continue to order beans from them. I just recieved an order of High Test, Red Velet and Columbia beans today- absolutely delicious! Do yourself a favour and pick up at least one bag of beans with your coffee, you will not regret it :)

North Mountain Fine Coffees
North mountain has been a staple in Berwick for a number of years. However very recently the quality is suffering drastically. The last several times I have been a patron my coffees and teas have not been up to previous standards. I'm not typically the type to do this but I most recently had to request them to redo my London fog as I feel I should not pay 4.25 for what was literally hot water.I sincerely hope the quality improves soon as supporting local is important to me but I also refuse to throw my money away.

I love this coffee. My wife and I regularly buy their fresh beans. Recently, we bought a bag of beans from superstore that were 8 months old. Likely a minor stocking issue. I reached out to the company and they promptly sent us two complimentary bags. Excellent customer service.

These people are truly doing the lord's work in the Annapolis Valley. There isn't a better cup of coffee southwest of Halifax - or in Halifax, to be honest. Most other coffee you can find in the area is foul. Their coffee roasting is probably the best in the province. Despite this, they're not a weird cerebral 3rd wave shop in a repurposed waterfront bunker. They're just completely professional. Straightforward single-origins with clear, strong tasting notes, great blends for espresso and filtered coffee, and amazing service.

At onetime, I gave North Mountain coffee 5 stars for a rating. That was in a time when you could sit down and enjoy your coffee and a treat" and have a chat with a friend. That is now gone. You can sit outside at a table and that's fine in the summer... not winter fall and spring. Coffee shops are meeting places

Right from entering the door you nose is filled with an aroma of coffee bean. The decor is cozy and welcoming, with friendly workers to give you what you need. Prices of the coffee are more than fair.

Despite the many options for local roasters nearby, North Mountain is the only one I drink. I buy the 5 lb whole bean bags and grind it fresh every morning. I recently got a bag that tasted less than spectacular for some reason. After reaching out, they graciously offered to make it better. They did just that. Now I'm back to enjoying fabulous coffee every morning.

Best tasting coffee I’ve had since moving back to NS. I’ve tried many of the others, but none compare to the quality of North Mountain coffee brews. And they do not up charge for vegan milk!
