Winnipeg Aviation Flight Training

These guys are amazing! Stopped by there flying a 172 from Lachute Quebec to Okotoks Alberta. We parked there over night and refuelled in the morning, noticed a leak in the fuel line to the carburetor. They were able to find a line and install it for us. Thanks again gentlemen!

Hate to write a negative review since my experience reflects the flight instructor I got paired with more than the school but they bait and switched flight lessons I booked with a discovery flight so he could build more hours for himself rather than focusing on my learning. If you're looking to learn to fly here I would ask to be paired up with someone other than Faheem. My friends that I went with got to see an additional preflight inspection with Tom, who actually seemed passionate about aviation and didn't rush through topics. I did more flying and covered a lot more skills in my flight with Harv's air than I did here and I was never discouraged from talking about topics like coordinated turns. Take a look for yourself at his entry in my flight log to see how little he cared about what we did while flying.

I went to a different very close flight school for my ppl. I did not enjoy the lack of support the other school offered or the lack of that schools accountability of quality of learning. It was time for a change. I got referred to Winnipeg aviation by two separate older pilots; one of which for a long time held a very prestigious title at transport. This school was a complete 180. this school does not try to tack on more flights on your bill or anything like that INFACT they offer some promotions which actually over the course of your flying can save you enough money to buy a reasonably priced reliable car. The smaller scale school in comparison offers in my opinion an easier to understand approach towards navigating your goals and making sure you understand something before moving forward. I have the flight instructor Faheem who is very much dedicated and very particular in having you fully achieve the lesson plan with full understanding. Instructors are everything! I have had an instructor at a different school put me directly in danger, this is not the case here. I highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoying my training at Winnipeg Aviation. The instructors are very knowledgable and deliberately push you out of your comfort zone, gently of course. All of this makes for a better school with an emphasis on safety and enjoyment leading to better, confident pilots. I have no hesitation in recommending Winnipeg Aviation as the flight school of choice.

Excellent place to train. The folks there are great. The instructors - the management -And last but not the least, the maintenance folks.You come prepared and push yourself hard, and they’ll push you harder. If you’re unprepared and unmotivated, well then, you’re on your own.Their prices are pretty reasonable too.#One thing that ive learnt from my past experience is that the smaller and simpler a school and its infrastructure looks the more better for you and faster you get done with your training because of their availability and the cost.Instructors focuses on their students more,they are very experienced and friendly. They are true teachersSo i guess you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.Great place to train, learn and prep towards the licenses, and ratings. Highly recommended!

I started my PPL at a different school and was not happy, switched over to WPG aviation and i feel like i am finally making progress. The instructors i have met are friendly and ready to answer any question i have. The other thing i like is that they are flexible with the schedule.

I have been loving my experience at WA while training for my PPL. Tom, our ground school instructor really cares about his students and has worked with me one on one to help me understand the concepts. Dan, the owner, is always around and always available to answer questions and encourage growth and progress. Faheem, my flight instructor, has been so supportive and such a wealth of knowledge. He has pushed me to be better and progress faster than I ever thought I could. Can’t wait to continue my learning at WA!

I have been doing all of my training at Winnipeg Aviation, and it has been one of the best experiences. My instructor, Faheem, is intelligent, extremely intuitive, and is one of the best instructors I've had. I had my Fam Flight with him last year, and signed up that day.Safety is an absolute priority, and it's easy to see.I have found that everybody from the owner, Dan, to the instructors, and the AME are patient, helpful, and always willing to answer any questions.

I did a good amount of training here and was impressed by their professionalism. What impresses me most is that it was done in 2014. Fast forward to 2021 and I’m following through with completing my license at a different school because I moved to B.C.. After 7 years I call Dan and ask him if he can mail my credentials and he said no problem, they’ve been filed for 7 years and he found them immediately, well organized and highly recommended. Awesome company.

Excellent flight school!! Instructors are really helpful and professional. pretty nice place to get your Pilot Licenses.
