My partner and I stayed at the Waldorf for a vacation to BC and it was an absolute delight. We were immediately greeted by a wonderful front desk attendant who let us know where we can park and keep our bags until check-in. All staff members made special care to ask how our stay was going, direct us to local attractions, and ensure that we had an outstanding stay. The room was affordable and clean, the hotel is positioned in a walkable proximity to fun restaurants and breweries, and the provided parking was safe and convenient. I really can’t say enough about the staff however. They were the factor that made our stay extremely pleasant and memorable. You will not meet sweeter, kinder people in town and they were so helpful. Thank you Waldorf staff, I hope we can make it back soon!

I was nervous to stay at this hotel after seeing all the mixed reviews. However, I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The room and lobby were clean and well maintained, and the customer service was friendly. The neighbourhood isn't the most family friendly"

We arrived exhausted at a 3PM checkin after traveling all day we were greeted with a note that essentially said the cable TV was not working and anyway we should get our lazy as$3s outside and enjoy the sun. Completely condescending and a deflection from a reduction in services we paid for. We checked out and back in daily for 3 days because due to a lack of communication, and customer respect, no one communicated that we wanted the same room. I dont recommend this place and wont be returning. Each room had something different. First it was the tv then it was a closet door completely off the hinges and finally a shower that must have been designed by a drunkard and a toilet that flushes so slow it seemed like it was going to clog at any second. The toilet paper roll pulled off just being touched. Glad we are out of there. Caveat emptor!

My family stayed here on a road trip and it was just OK. The staff was very good. Polite. Helpful. Good group! Location was concerning for a road trip. Free parking which was good but the lot makes you nervous. Not very secure. The rooms were also just OK. They were clean enough I suppose but amenities were wanting. So if you have no car and just need a place to sleep, this works! Need something more? Might wanna go elsewhere.

Location and rooms were not what pic showed online.Staff greeted and was friendly.Room can use a little upgrade. Toilet paper holder was so loose that it was ti point not worth having it hung up since everytime you went to get toilet paper it flew right off. (See photo)One of the outlet didn't even work. Unfortunately, they are an actually key key instead of key card.

Found this hotel on-line, and all appeared to be fine based on a few posts I reviewed. Any favorable post are now questionable at best??? Checked in Jun 2023, the day before our Alaskan Cruise. The hotel is old/dated and no access to the second floor via elevator. Not an easy task dragging multiple heavy bags up approximately 20 steps. But that’s only a small part of a much bigger problem. The hotel shares space with a venue called “The Tiki Bar.” Don’t be fooled, this is not a casual bar, but a rave party which loudly extends into your room. Trust me…you are now part of party.I went downstairs to complain, and asked to speak to the manager. Was advised that the Manager was not on site by the very young person that checked us in. I brought this person up to our room so they could witness the noise first hand. Her attempt to remedy the problem was to offer me ear plugs…I’m not kidding. After again expressing my displeasure, she moved me to another room further away from the “Tiki Bar.” It helped a little, but you could still hear feel/hear the noise below. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a place to hold your bags for the night, this place may work for you. However, If you’re looking for a place to rest your head and get a good nights sleep…FORGET IT! Would give this place zero stars if there was an option to do so.

It’s 2:06 AM as I type this. The dance club downstairs seems like maybe it’s slowing down some moments, and then it’s dance party vibes all over again. I have to move my car from the wildly sketchy parking lot at 8:00 in the morning, to where I have no idea. Their parking lot is the venue for a music festival tomorrow. So far a pretty awful experience. Avoid this place unless you’re clubbin downstairs.Edit: We were refunded for the second night we booked as we were not going to stay. Look, if you are going to an event downstairs, absolutely book a room. Don’t expect a restful hotel stay if you’re here for a nice weekend in Vancouver.

Stayed in May 2023I regret to say that I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this hotel and cannot recommend it to anyone. In fact, if it was possible to give it zero stars, I would. The room was extremely dirty, with an out-of-date washroom that was so unclean, it made me feel uncomfortable. The location was also concerning, as it was in an area known for being dangerous and filled with drunk people. This did not make for a safe and enjoyable stay.To add to my discomfort, the Bar/Club in the hotel was so loud that the walls were literally shaking, making it almost impossible to get any sleep. The parking situation was also very sketchy, adding to the overall sense of unease and discomfort. The only saving grace of this hotel was one of the staff members, an Indian gentleman who was extremely kind and helpful. He warned us about the potential dangers of the area and did his best to make our stay more comfortable, but unfortunately, it was not enough to overcome the many issues with the hotel itself. In summary, I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

My stay was okay. My thoughts are pretty much safety, cleanliness, and noise related.I wish I had a heads up that the front door to the hotel would be locked when I tried to check in at night. As a young woman, I found the location kinda sus since it was poorly lit, I was able to call in and it was fine though. As for the room, there was a safe so I wasn't concerned about my valuables. The place could have been cleaner upon arrival. I found someone else's hair and drinks in the fridge. Hair was also in the shower and the sheets had stains.Staff were very friendly and had great recommendations for where to explore. The location was much more lively area during the day I found. It was still however noisy when trying to sleep (ex. cars, music, yelling).I think I was able to overlook a lot since I was pretty satisfied with the asthetic and price. Overall I'd say you get what you pay for.

The staff at the Hotel at Waldorf are top-notch. Not only were they super kind and helpful, but I forgot my wallet (locked in the in-room safe) and they retrieved it for me and kept it safe until someone could pick it up for me. Amazingly nothing was taken from my wallet. The rooms are basic and clean, the bed and pillow was comfortable. The neighbourhood is East Van, so don't expect super quiet or luxurious, but it's the best value for what you get in the city. As an added bonus it's close to everything and super walkable. Thanks again to the super ethical and honest staff!!
