I had a very bad experience here. We came to see Dr. Lucie with our new puppy for an examination & vaccinations. She recommended our puppy return for in 1 month for her booster vaccines. When I returned I was charged another FULL priced examination fee on top of the vaccinations. When I got home I emailed the clinic and the receptionist Rachel explained to me that the clinic policy is “no matter what they ALWAYS charge a full priced exam fee, even if the dog was in 1 day prior”. I had asked if the manager could call me as I wanted to let her know my experience ( I was told the appt was a quick follow up. Therefore, I would have understood a LIMITED exam but not a full priced exam. My previous vet had told me that an exam is good for 6 months). The manager never called me and instead she emailed me to explain I was charged for a full priced exam fee as they need to “cover their operating costs”. I have since emailed and called numerous times to schedule my puppy in for surgery to get spayed and now they are not returning my calls or emails. The front staff & manager seem very unprofessional and I would not recommend this place. Unfortunately they have lost my trust.Jessica

Great animal hospital.

We love this Vet in the heart of Manotick! Always great service from the whole team and the vets are the best. Our pug can be a bit hard to deal with as pugs can be when it comes to having a check up. My boy hates having his feet touched. He has been treated with nothing but the best care there.

Kind and friendly. Only do the tests that it’s necessary. I totally loved the place!

Very shocked that an Animal Hospital doesn't sell Parina EN Gastroenteric® sold only at a Vets and can't be sold in stores. This formula is for immediate use for severe direaha for dogs and cats. This formula is so easy on their digestive systems that there is no need to wein your pet into it and is used to immediately absorb nutrients and stop the diareah and them wein them to their normal diet when their bowls return to normal. When I called they said they wouldn't recommend any if their EN foods as they would upset their stomach if they are not weined onto it. Extremely surprising since this is a vet clinic and they don't carry such a product. Called around and other Vets seem to carry this food.even the other Vets were surprised as well.The receptionist said you don't sell it not that it was not in stock. By the sounds of it you don't order it either.

Just had a wonderful experience with this veterinary centre, and in particular with Dr. Kartes. He is wonderfully communicative in response to your concerns about, and the needs of your pet. He was greatly educational toward issues that we sought clarity on, and in an understanding, empathetic way.Ultimately, our dog only had her shots updated but we woke up today feeling relieved and happy to have gone to this place.

A happy, healthy pup! Dr. Sinclair is beyond wonderful- she takes the time to listen, offer insight & provide expert advice. Everyone was amazing at helping to make the vet experience fun and enjoyable (and not scary at all- Murphy walks in willingly)

We had to put our elderly dog down a few months ago and the service that the Manotick Animal Hospital, and especially, Dr. Lucie Vander Byl provided us was top notch. They were very caring and compassionate of our needs. They let us stay there for as long as we needed (we had to wait for another family member to arrive). When we are ready to get another pet, we know where they will go! Thank you again for your services.

The entire staff are fantastic, especially Dr Kartes, he’s amazing with our pets, we trust him 100% and our dog loves him. Every time it’s an amazing experience from the receptionists being very compassionate and doing their best to help when we need urgent appointments, to the wonderful vet techs and all the vets we have seen there have been great. We have never been recommended unnecessary testing or medication, unlike the experiences we have had at other surgeries.Even in the current busy times we have had nothing but compassionate and caring treatment for our pets and for us.

So happy we were able to get our girl, Remy, in as a patient here. All the staff have been extremely helpful, compassionate and friendly. We had Remy spayed recently and they called to update us during and after her surgery and then followed up with an email and photos of Remy once she was awake. They are quick to respond to all of our concerns and allow us to email in photos instead of always going to the clinic to be seen. Great place all around!
